My partner and I visited this hotel and stayed for 2 nights over the new year weekend. On arrival we were allocated our room which was at the top of the hotel so there were quite a few stairs and twists and turns before we got there due to the fact that this is an old building but very charming....

I spent one night at the Rutland Arms in November 2016 and was not impressed. My room was cold and with the small radiator already turned up to maximum, could do nothing to change this. The TV was tiny and you had to sit no more than a couple of feet a way in order to see anything. The shower...

Arrived at hotel, made very welcome by the receptionist, my room which overlooked the Old Courtyard was spacious and very clean, although the bathroom could do with updating, staff very helpful. The breakfast was very good, plenty to choose from,

Stayed Friday & Saturday night in room 354. Lovely quiet room BUT Wooden bed base nearest the wall has had it, it creaked all night long. Both mattresses are way past there sell by date, i.e. springs sticking out. Washer in shower needs replacing as it dripped all night long, worse than being in a torture chamber & to top...

The hotel is overpriced by far as it is in need of a complete refurb. The service at breakfast isn't great with 1 of the staff extremely rude. Didn't stay for dinner as the menu left a lot to be desired.Wouldn't stay again based on our visit

Arrived to book into our four poster room to find a hole in the ceiling with water dripping through it into a bin in the middle of the bedroom. Complained and were offered another room which was bleak and not a four poster. Decided to go to a different hotel - manager was not particularly apologetic and did nothing to...

Have to say that this is a quirky old hotel. Right in Newmarket centre. Such a trek to the room but just adds to what this hotel is. Breakfast used to be cooked to order but has changed to buffet. Not very hot or great standard. However will go back does need money spent car park is a joke.

I stayed here for two nights. When I checked in I found out that the kitchen was closed and no hot food could be provided. That wasn't helpful on a bed and breakfast booking. The hotel provided a continental breakfast. The standard was shocking - one toaster and a queue for that across the room, and small boxes of cereal....

Stayed here for an overnight visit with friends, four of us in total. Hotel seemed quite busy. Its located on High Street. we arrived by car, there is a free car park next to Hotel that seems secured? Train Station bit away. From the outside its a really lovely hotel, an old coaching house?? There are steps in to the...
