My husband and I had our wedding reception at The Crown and it was fantastic! Fabulous food, service was brilliant and we couldn’t fault them! We dropped off decorations the day before and they set everything up for us and it was perfect! The food was absolutely delicious and our guests loved it! Thank you so much The Crown for making our day so wonderful! Can’t wait to come back for our anniversary!

We were treated to breakfast and as we love The Crown (especially the Jazz nights) we were very pleased! The six of us were seated in a separate room at the front, which suited us very well. The cooked breakfasts were well cooked and very well presented and the continental breakfasts were very generous. There was some confusion over what was included and I think we ended up with everything! It was slightly strange, due to not being able to have a buffet (quite understandable) and we were served fruit in bowls with separate yoghurt (yummy!) but the cereal came in a bowl with the milk already in it. All in all, we had a HUGE tasty breakfast and a thoroughly enjoyable 'catch-up' with family, which was a real treat in the middle of all the weirdness of 2020. Thank you very much to all at The Crown!!

We did an overnight stay here just for fun, and we had a great time. We did the spa package and the massages at Bathsheba Spa were fantastic. The only downside was the walk from the hotel to the spa (about 4-5 min) and it was raining and you have to cross a fairly busy road. The massages were lovely though -- a full 60 min! Afterwards, we did afternoon tea and it was one of the best we've had! The scones + clotted cream were delectable and the dessert options were sensational. We would come back just for the tea!! Our room was nice as well. Nothing too extravagant, but cozy and plenty of space (we did the second tier room). Nice amenities and the shower head OH MY GOSH was amazing. Honestly, we'd come back just for the shower pressure!! Our dinner at the restaurant was delicious as well. My husband did the steak and it was fabulous. I did the shrimp scampi, which was nice, but I would probably get the steak the next time. The sticky toffee pudding wasn't much to write home about but we were so full from the dinner that it didn't bother us too badly! Overall, a very nice stay -- relaxing and cozy -- just what we wanted!!

Stayed here with friends on a Sunday night. Very friendly staff. Service very good. Breakfast lovely, room was great lovely toiletries and good value for a standard room. Couple of negatives I would have liked a little more comfortable seating plus would have been good if the restaurant could have opened on a Sunday night. would recommend Though

We stayed for two nights here and would very happily go back. Rob, the manager, and his team were extremely friendly and helpful, and their Covid 19 precautions were faultless. The hotel is well situated in the centre of Woodbridge and the residents’ car park is adjacent. Our room, number 3, was lovely: very large, light and airy, and with excellent large bedside tables and good bedside lamps, not to mention two very comfortable beds. I was also pleased to find an armchair as being a poor sleeper I often sit up at night and read, away from the bed. There were good biscuits on the hospitality tray and quality teas and coffees, including posh sachets of decaff coffee, a first as far as we were concerned. The bathroom had plenty of space to put toiletries, and the heated towel rail kept the room comfortable. The towels were large and of very good quality. We had slight problems with the hot water in the shower but we only mentioned them as we were leaving as it was nothing that spoilt the stay. Both rooms were spotlessly clean. We ate very well here: the fish and chips was excellent as was my husband’s barbecued lamb on the first evening. The cheeseboard was interesting as it came with a small, individual fruit loaf as well as crackers. The fruit salad at breakfast was clearly freshly made and came with plain yogurt (again a good one, not a cheapie) and a croissant, plus toast and marmalade. Here I must mention the marmalade, chutney and jam which is all made on the premises and is wonderful. If you like a chunky marmalade this is the place for you! The food was really well prepared and the menu, we felt, catered for all, with some fairly traditional dishes and some with a less traditional slant. All in all, this was a good find and one we would recommend.
