Good value, surprisingly quiet, easy to find and with excellent parking. Good location for access to the city centre, 15 minute walk or two stops on the Metro which is 2 minutes from the hotel. Staff pleasant, friendly and helpful. We will certainly be using this Holiday Inn on out next trip to Newcastle.

At the end of Osborne Road, a good location for the north of the city and city centre (Metro stop is not far) The hotel is modern but pleasant, and while the standard rooms are quite small, I didn't feel the space was too bad for a city hotel. Important for me - the room wasn't too noisy. Reception staff...

This is about the fourth time I've stayed here, ended up paying £98 on Saturday night for a bog standard double, with a tiny window, overlooking the extractor fans. Having stayed at the Staybridge down by the river and the Cairn up on Osborne Road, I think they represent better value for money. There is road noise here. Basic toiletries...

Stayed here while in the area for business. Hotel is just a few hundred metres from the Metro which was ideal for me. Lady who checked me in was very pleasant and efficient. Room was opressively hot on arrival but much better once the heating was switched off. Think there could be better instructions as to how to work the...

We stayed here for four nights as a base to explore the North. The room was comfortable, clean and had all the usuals. No view, but it is a city hotel. Restaurant was good in value and food quality for dinner. Breakfast is stock standard Holiday Inn buffet. I did order eggs benedict and the hollandaise was watery, split and...

We stayed for two nights to attend a wedding nearby at the Biscuit Factory. We booked in advance and got a great rate for the Executive King room. We also rang the hate in advance to ask for our favourite room. Rooms was very clean, quiet and when we asked for extra towels they came immediately. My daughter also broke...

We stayed Christmas Eve night and Christmas Day night. The hotel was not busy. We had asked for and got an executive room, which was excellent. It did look out over the main road, which fortunately wasn't too noisy. Staff were attentive and eager to please. Breakfast was very good on both mornings. Christmas Day lunch was excellent.

The hotel is in a very good location. 10 minute walk to the main part of Osborne Road with loads of bars, restaurants and shops. Going the opposite way it's a 10 minute walk to the city centre past the University. The car park is rather small however we stayed on a Saturday and had no problems getting a space...
