For the third time we asked for our shower to be unblocked and it wasn't done - they said 'maintenance is only available at weekends' but we asked on a Saturday and Sunday so not sure what they meant.
The room cleaning was way lower than other hotels in the same range - no hoovering and it seems that they barely cleaned at all. Mirrors in bathroom still dirty.
Not planning to stay here again.

Dear Guest Many thanks for your recent review which makes disappointing reading. Please accept my sincerest apologies for your concerns raised which I will certainly look into in more detail with my Team. Very unusual that I receive a negative comment about the cleanliness standards within the Hotel, never the less I will make my Head Housekeeper aware. Thank you again and my apologies for the inconvenience caused on this occasion. Kind regards. John Scott General Manager

Hotel's Favourite
We loved this hotel. Nice staff. Great breakfast, a lovely pool and steam rooms etc. My kids were in an adjoining room and had a double bed each. We had a super king. Very nicely decorated and comfortable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel- we had a lovely time!

Booked in and was told I had to pay a £50 security deposit on my credit card. I am used to a shadow payment being held pending checking of the room but IHG now physically take the payment. The booking in details said they take a swipe of your card which is clearly not true. No idea how long it will take them to repay it but statement is due soon
Room was apparently upgraded but seemed no different to any other room
Air conditioning / heating unit sounded like a jet engine at night so had to turn it off
Design of location means car parking spaces are all a long walk to the entrance which is not good in the winter or for people with disabilities, do designers not think of these things.
Small tv in room
No biscuits on coffee tray
£15 for breakfast is not worth it.
All in all would not stop here again. Seems IHG are dumbing down and will choose another chain in future.

Thank you for taking time to review your recent stay with us. Our front desk team would have taken a pre-authorisation which should show as a pending transaction within your bank account and is released back within 5 working days. We are sorry to learn that you will not be returning to our brand, we do hope that you will change you mind and give us another try in the near future. Kind regards Hotel team

I have stayed here three times through August 2023 for work and if I could award this hotel more stars I would. My first stay was on the ground floor and the room was lush. Bathrobes and Slippers and a mini bar. I asked if I could have a view for my next stay and the Manager emailed me personally to say she woudl arrange this. My second and third stay were on the upper floor and the view of the fields was breath taking. The room felt so private and I could open the nets and window to let in the fresh air. The Air Con at night was a huge bonus. The TV was large and had a volume cut off button which made the hotel exceptionally quiet. I slept amazing all three nights and the breakfast, especially the mushrooms were wonderful. The room/s were spacious, clean and very comfortable. On my third stay my Husband accompanied me and I mentioned it was our wedding anniversary and we received a card and a voucher for a free drink and nibbles. Karen and the staff here are friendly and approachable and it is so lovely to be checked in by a real smiling person as opposed to keying in a code or talking to someone through a doorbell camera when checking into a place with no soul. I cannot say thank you enough for making me feel comfortable and safe as a lady travelling alone and I look forward to my next stay on the 6th September 2023. You have tried the rest now try the best. Value for money and service with a smile.

The only fault we had with this hotel was the WiFi is pretty poor which is why we have given it 4/5.
The staff were very friendly and attentive. We were checked in really quickly, given a premier room, we had two king size beds and a mini fridge. The room was spotless. I think the shower screen was possibly the cleanest shower screen I have ever seen.
We liked that you needed a code to exit the car park which meant that there wasn't any random cars entering the premises.
The beds were comfortable. There was a flat screen TV, Tea & Coffee facilities, a hair dryer, safe, etc. Everything you would expect. There was also spare towels in the wardrobe and bathrobes and slippers.
We only stayed one night and didn't dine in the hotel. We had forgotten to bring a pad for our son to draw on so we asked the reception if they had some paper and they gave him an activity book which was really nice of them too.
We would definitely stay here again

We arrived as part of a coach group, the welcome on arrival was warm and friendly, there was tea/coffee and danish pastries while we were given our room keys.
The room was light airy and spotless, there was tea/coffee etc which was replenished daily. The bathroom was not huge but had a roomy shower.
Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, we also had dinner included in our package, which had to be ordered the night before. There was always a meat, fish or veggie choice.
We didn’t have time to use the pool/spa but it looked inviting.

Absolutely lovely stay at Holiday inn Gosforth park. Right from the start the girls at check-in were so friendly , smiley and pleasant it made me feel so welcome! Then after check-in I dropped my stuff in the lovely clean room before heading to the bar . Jan who was serving me at the bar was absolutely amazing , smiling , very pleasant and even though she was very busy she tane the time to really look after me and make sure I was OK for drinks , food and chatted with me. If I was an employer I would employ 10 of her !! Also John the General Manager ...... it's great to be asked how you are and if everything is OK by the manager and he was personally making sure me and everyone else were enjoying our stay and asking if everything was good 👍🏻. The restaurant was really nice and again top notch service. This is my go to hotel for pampering now 😁👌. Well done everyone who works here 👏

We come back to this hotel time and time again. The service and quality is always consistent and to a high standard. The team of staff are incredibly hard working and friendly, making you feel welcomed throughout your stay.
There is always ample free parking and the hotel is well located, making it the ideal spot for days out at the coast or in Newcastle.
The pool is a good soze and the facilities are well maintained.
The food on offer is also good quality and reasonably priced, should you wish to eat in.
Special thanks to Karen who always goes that extra mile and makes us feel welcomed and valued.

My husband and I stayed here for his business trip between the 17th and 20th April. We arrived very late after a long trip up from South Wales having only booked the hotel minutes earlier due to a mix up with another hotel. Gi Gi on reception was a very welcoming face and checked us in encouraging us to organise our evening meal as it was close to last orders. Room service ordered, we headed to our room on the second floor. The room was extremely spacious with two double beds, a large desk and TV unit with drawers, as well as a smaller unit with tea and coffee making facilities. There were lovely floor to ceiling windows with countryside view complete an arm char and table. The bathroom was lovely, bath, overhead shower, and shelf for storing your toiletries. The room was spotless, there are plenty of sockets for charging electronics etc., a place for luggage, a wardrobe and easily adjustable air conditioning. Whilst my husband attended his meetings, I stayed and worked at the hotel. I found the Wi-Fi was more than capable for my needs and didn’t have any issues. I was able to work extremely comfortably in the room and down in the cafe area. There is a Starbucks on-site and I enjoyed the pots of tea whilst working! All the staff, from reception, waiting, cleaning and serving were exceptionally friendly and helpful, a real asset to the hotel! We especially appreciated being accommodated given how late we had arrived! Overall we had a really lovely stay and would not hesitate to come again.

The holiday was stunning it’s obviously been recently refitted. Comfortable beds, clean room and toiletries were available in the room with additional toiletries on request if you needed them complimentary. The hotel is also connected to a health spa which is complimentary to hotel guests which includes a heated pool, hydrotherapy pool, steam room and sauna. There’s also a fully kitted out gym. Towels were provided and the changing rooms were equipped with lockers and a swimming suit dryer.
Excellent experience we look forward to coming back again soon.

I think so but I'm not 100% sure.
At this hotel we allow assistance dogs for the visually impaired. There are brands within IHG that do allow dogs/pets if that's what is required.
Yes I think 2 at least
About 15 minutes. The hotel isn't in Gosorth.
