As we arrived at the hotel (which, bear in mind, we paid the same price for that we paid for a cushie hotel next door the year before!) and after check in we trekked up the shanty-town stairs, comparable to places I've stayed in in New Dehli to our shack of a room. We entered the room to find it... More

We booked and paid for a 3 bed room for Saturday night, only to find out (once we had a arrived) that the hotel could no longer accommodate us. We received an email stating this at 10:30 on the morning we was travelling up to Newcastle from Manchester, which was great notice considering we had booked the room 6 weeks... More

Stayed for 2 nights with friends for a gig, not the worst hotel I've been in. Very pleasant, very helpful receptionist who was always more than happy to assist us. House keeping did knock on our door on day one very early and tell us to get out, however, we're very apologetic when we told them we were staying another... More

We stayed Friday-Sunday and had no hot water the whole time. Rooms were fine and staff friendly - but lacking this basic amenity really wasn't on. I'm not sure if it was because as a stag-do of 22, we were seen as an inconvenience that would be out of their hair in a couple of days, or not - but... More

Hi Matt. First of all I'd like to apologise profusely on behalf of the whole team. We did make our best efforts to set the hot water back on with our maintenance staff but it could not be done. It was only Sunday dinner time when the heating company managed to come out and fix the issue which was actually... More

I stayed four nights. The room was clean and as described on their website. The hotel in great location in the centre of Jesmond, close to the amenities and the Metro. Breakfast is complimentary. I will stay here again.

My room was clean along with clean bedding, Wifi was available, a bar downstairs, and parking facilities at the rear. The room price was very reasonable, smoking area to the rear, and no noise at all. located in a great area for bars, and a... More

We stayed for 1 night in this good value but basic hotel. Room very clean with brand new bedding. General feel of the place is more like a hostel, knocked about a bit, but all very informal and staff friendly. Location is great for bars and night life, but does of course make it lively at night- so if you... More

We booked the George Hotel last minute for a night before we flew out of Newcastle. The location on Osborne Road was perfect for the bars, and a quick cheap car or Uber into town if you want to continue on with the night. The room we had was at the top, number 12. 2 Single beds, bit cramped with... More
