Stayed here as a last minute decision when I realised I had not booked a third night in my normal hotel in the centre of Newcastle. Hotel was lovely, if a bit out of the way. There is really no on site parking, however the public car park is across the way and is free from 1730 to 0900

Just had a lovely Sunday lunch in the bar of the Gibside arms . We all had the roast beef which came with a fantastic Yorkshire pudding loads of veg in a separate dish which comprised mash potato carrots broccoli peas and cauliflower . We stayed at this hotel on New Years Eve and I feel I need to review this hotel as it was absolutely perfect. The hotel itself is really nice, warm and most of all welcoming. We had an evening meal and the food was excellent as was breakfast the next morning. What struck me more was the customer service from...

We met at this hotel after a family funeral. There was another funeral party there at the same time, in another room. The room was ready and tea and coffee was prepared. It would be good to provide sweeteners with this, for those who are diabetic. The buffet was tasty; a selection of sandwiches, lovely sausage rolls, gateaux and cream...

Excellent hotel, good, clean rooms. All staff were exceptional, could not have been more helpful. Food was very good, very generous portion and all served piping hot. Fantastic venue for seeing Newcastle. Only drawback was lack of parking but public car park opposite.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Gibside and was upgraded on my points to a junior suite. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was good quality there was parking at the rear of the hotel for approx. 6 cars but there was also a council car park which you could pay for also next to the hotel.

This is our second stay at this hotel, both times we have stayed in the 3 bed apartment which is fantastic! Great for families as it has ample space for everyone & means you can be a little more independent if you are wanting to get out and about. The hotel is a great location for Beamish Museum & the...
