Avoid this place at all costs. The rooms were dirty, the beds did not appear to have been changed, the breakfast is a joke (plastic bag of croissants, loaf of white bread, two tubs of margarine and some jam, polystyrene cups of tea) and sleeping was impossible because of the constant noise of people walking about, knocking on doors, playing...

When we tried complaining the managers friend appeared to try and intimidate us. He stated he would not give us our...

Room was shoddy, covered in cobwebs. Wall was damp with stains. The bathroom was disgusting and not fit for humans, it needed ripped out and started again. The welcome tray had already been used and the cups were covered in stains. I ended up laying on top of the bed but didn't sleep at all. The bed itself was filthy...

We arrived late at night and as soon as you walked in there was a smell of damp, had it not been so late I would have looked for other premises. While the staff were pleasant but the place is a hovel, the bedding was torn mismatched and as this was not white I could not tell if it was...

My single room was tidy but reasonably clean. Bathroom and shower on the other side ofthe corridor were OK and I don't really understand why so many people have slagged this place off. The staff at reception are very helpful and the breakfast is a bonus - albeit a very basic one. The Wi-Fi worked very well which was important...

Arrived and realised we had a shared bathroom with several other bedrooms. the original bedroom was pleasant enough but the bathroom was dirty and dank. We managed to get moved to an Ensuite room after much deliberation. We stayed one night 3 girls for a 21st night out in Newcastle. For something cheap and just as a place to sleep...

A group of us stayed here for a night out in Newcastle - all weekend the guy, who booked this hostel for the group, got abused. For the following reasons: It's not near Newcastle centre The rooms are filthy - there was even wee in the cupboard. Our view from the window was a picturesque pizza box, sick & fag...

Upon leaving my room the next day I noticed a black bug scurry across the mattress, now my boyfriend and I are cleaning our rooms head to toe due to a bed bug infestation. Completely disgusting, annoying and unacceptable. Will not return. I could mention millions of other issues including carpet stains and wall markings however this seems the most...

We stayed here for one night and really enjoyed the stay. Room was fine, comfortable size and clean - great value. Front desk staff are available 24/7 and are friendly and the breakfast that was included was a good, standard continental breakfast. Solid wifi in our room and about a 10 minute taxi into town which will cost about 6...
