This property is just what you might expect, but the friendly staff makes it just a notch above the rest. The location near the Central Station makes it an ideal place for travelers and business type folk who seemed to be a dominant force in the breakfast room.

I stayed here for two nights on my own when staying in Newcastle on business. It was ideally located, a few steps from the Central train station. Room was quiet, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, decent shower. Breakfast was reasonable, although cooked items limited to sausages, beans and scrambled eggs. Kettle in room, but no biscuits. In summary, basic as you...

I don't often leave reviews! But just wanted to add one on here as I've stayed here for work and for a night out with a friend from manchester. I have dealt with a few of the staff and every one has been attentive and professional. Every time I check out I always get served by Lee, he is efficient...

I stayed here for a few days and was impressed with the size of the disabled rooms, staff were very welcoming and supporting. It is in the centre of the city and at night outside life really can get loud. Wifi was great accessible everywhere. Food average. Very clean rooms. Only 5 mins walk from St James Park too which...

I stayed here for 2 nights last week and it was perfect. It is a simple hotel with good amenities, a simple and tasty breakfast, and very friendly staff. Room was expectedly small but I was traveling alone. Wifi access worked flawlessly and room was comfortable. Hotel is just 5 minutes walk from the central train and Metro station (about...

We spent two nights at the Holiday Inn Express in Newcastle last week. The location is very handy for all of the city's offerings. They don't have their own car park but one is located right next door which is very reasonably priced. After 5:00 P.M., the parking is FREE until 8:00 A.M. From 8:00 to 5:00, I think the...

Great hotel all in all. Paid via a hen party organisation, which I thought was over priced but of course that is no reflection of the hotel. Only problem I had was the £80 deposit to be paid by debit or credit card on arrival. I like most people had no read the small print and came to the city...

We stayed here for one night. Everyone from the reception staff to the chirpy Geordie waiter at breakfast were helpful and really friendly. The location is excellent, 10 mins at best from bars, restaurants, although there are several within 30 seconds away. the hotel has a book with local eateries menus to check out. Attractions such as the life centre,...

we visited newcastle in august and stayed at the Holiday Inn Express , it was spotless, the rooms were great size and we had everything we needed. The only thing I think it could do with is stools to sit at the bar, we would have liked to have had a drink at the bar as opposed to sitting in...
