Good central location and excellent service with no fuss. Easy access to the Gateshead sage conference centre. 15 minute walk away. Will need to ring ahead for an evening meal as kitchen last orders are from 21:45.

Good location but very tired hotel. The carpet was coming away from behind the bed...it had seen better days as had the towels. We had single beds which were small. I would not stay here again which is a shame as the location is so good.

Hi there It's a shame to hear you were disappointed with the decor of the hotel. Although we don't have a refurbishment scheduled for the near future, I've now passed your comments on to the Operations Manager to be taken on board during refurb reviews. I am however pleased to hear you loved the location & hope you'd visit again... More

The rooms I had booked were both freezing cold at night, it felt like a window was open even though they were both locked. The heater didn't help either. I was really disappointed. I expected better from Premier Inn.

Nice hotel. Not the best if your disabled and struggle with walking. But it's a lovely hotel. Staff are friendly and breakfast was lovely. Rooms are clean if just a touch cold. Lovely bar overlooking the quayside

Our arrival was not the best we've experienced with Premier Inn. No warm smiles or welcome, just a brusque 'your room isn't ready, we can look after your bags,do you want to have a wander?' Bearing in mind it was cold, wet and windy outside, we decided against a 'wander' and settled ourselves in the restaurant to wait. Our room... More

The location and the warm welcome you receive at this Premier Inn is great. The staff are so helpful and always with a smile, the hotel is in an old building but this does not detract from the overall experience.

Room was a little older than what I am used to with Premier Inn. However, it was only for one night and room was fine if a little bit on the cold side. TV didn't work properly and was very small. Not that I sit in a hotel watching TV anyway. Hotel was very well situated.

The beauty of Premier Inns is that you know what you are going to get. A comfortable room, excellent bed, tasty breakfast and friendly service. Add to that an excellent quayside location and that is the Quayside Premier Inn. A word of warning, the town centre is a short but very steep walk from here and the quayside can be... More

All the usual excellent service of Premier Inn but let down by a building, which could be superb , but needs an urgent refurbishment. Location is excellent, with easy access and a good secure underground car park. Needs double glazing as rooms face onto Quayside.
