If you want cheap and cheerful without any pretensions, the Hansen Hotel does exactly what it says on the tin! The local area is a complete dump, but it's not a long walk to the middle of town or by cheap and plentiful taxis. Landlady is magic, super friendly welcoming Geordie who is so laid back as to be completely...

Stayed for one night prior to my sons interview. Really comfy beds, well heated quiet and clean. Landlady was lovely and extremely helpful. Little bit rough around the edges but merely added to its charm. If my son is successful i will definitely be returning. If you're looking for a cheap overnight stay or stag/ hen weekend (our room had...

I'm just back from a weekend away at the Hansen Hotel. I stayed at the hotel as part of a hens group, and shared a room with 6 girls. Now, if I am completely honest, the accommodation (bed's, bathroom, shower, storage space, layout etc) is basic at best, however, the warm welcome more than made up for this. First of...

Just back from an amazing weekend with 20 other women for a friends hen weekend. It was a mixture of ages from brides friends to Mothers and family friends. Everyone had a brilliant weekend. Its not a Hilton but you couldn't be as relaxed as we all were in a big hotel. It is a fantastic weekend destination for groups...

We went to this hotel with a group of 21 girls, we couldn't have picked a better place. Family run hotel where nothing was too much trouble and the town was walking distance away! Megan was a joy and so helpful and nothing was to much hassle for George - they made our trip exactly what we wanted, and i...

Stayed at the Hansen Hotel on the weekend of 5th September. All the good reviews of how friendly the management were are true, the staff exceeded expectations as they were so welcoming and happy to help as much as possible. The hotel itself is at an ideal location for access to bars and pubs and if you do not feel...
