We watched the rugby (which was rubbish) here but the pub was very good. Nice surroundings and good atmosphere. Prices were readonable compared to nearby pubs and there were free snacks at half time too but didn't get a look in because of greedy individuals!

We were disappointed with the first room we were shown (on the ground floor- Room 7), as it was rather small and right on the street. We could hear what passers-by were saying (One lady said: 'Oh, look! A bedroom!'), so were concerned that there wasn't any privacy. My husband asked the barman if we could change rooms. He was...

We were welcomed into a very friendly pub and enjoyed a few great real ales on a Saturday night. A rather cheesy disco / karaoke played in the main bar but we sat in the side bar where a friendly owner and his wife chatted to us. Another Spanish barman / glass collector arrived at last orders and was particularly...

We visited here a few times over a extremely cold weekend. The pub was lovely and warm, with an open fire. The landlord and landlady were lovely and very helpful when ordering food. The food was good value and good quality. There was a great atmosphere and will return again.

We spent a night here with friends and had a great time. It's a cosy pub with an open fire (it was a very cold day) and the welcome from the owners was equally warm. Our room was spacious, simply but tastefully decorated and very clean. The bed was very comfy too. This is a very old building so the...

This is a traditional old Pub but the bedrooms are modern clean and comfortable. We were given a fantastic welcome from Carol and Geoff who are real people who work extremely hard. We spent the night after going out for dinner, arrived back around 9pm what a night the regulars were brilliant, friendly, welcoming and entertaining, how I wish this...

Visited here today for our lunch. After being out in the cold and rain we wanted good old comfort food and we were not disappointed! We both had a roast beef dinner .. huge portions and it was a proper home made roast absolutely delicious! Staff were so friendly made us feel so comfortable like we were at home! It...

Took a random chance walking into this pub, and so glad we did !! The atmosphere inside was so friendly, live cricket on 1 screen at one end, live horse racing on 1 screen at the other end, an eating area for people wanting food which did look busy, and a quiet area for reading and sitting with a pint...

My wife and I popped in today for lunch because the place we had chosen was closed. We were very pleased about that. Great place for lunch. Not a large menu but both dishes we had were very good. Friendly staff and landlord. I had the steak, onion and mushroom baguette and was a bit surprised when I was asked...
