Just one night between a pair of RSC plays and Shakespeare Birthplace Trust tour. Staff were magnificent. Car park had space at £10 a day. Room was spaceous and well appointed. Bed was comfortable . Breakfast was alright but not the best - bacon hard and dry. Tomatoes were undercooked. But HGVs started up outside at 6 o'clock in the...

Booked a privilege room through booking.com as we got a great rate. Charming hotel right in the middle of town which was perfect for exploring this beautiful place. Very quite at night so you will get a decent sleep, the four poster bed we had was very comfortable also. They have Nespresso machines in the rooms which is a really...

Stayed here for one night in April - booked primarily for the location. It's right in the middle of the town and easy walking distance to attractions, shops and restaurants. Hotel itself is very old, dated and tired. Decor inside could certainly do with a refurbish - certainly nothing modern about the place. Very old creaky flooring and uneven. That...

We stayed overnight at this hotel so we could go to the RSC the next day. I chose it as they had parking and we would be driving from North Wales. However, due to getting home from work late, eating and roadworks on the M6 we didn't get there until nearly 23:00. I rang to let them know and ask...

Dear CindersTraveller Thank you for your review and I am glad that you managed to get a car parking space despite the late hour - we generally manage to fit most people in, but the alternative, as you say, although close, does close at 10pm. Thank you for your kind comments about the hotel, and I am sorry your breakfast...

I agree with a previous reviewer. Good for location. The receptionist was very helpful then went average after that till check out. £10 to park a car in the worlds smallest car park. On route to room still room service plates on the floors of corridors with waste food visible. Room ok no wow factor. In the bar had to...

We were delighted by our stay. The personnel was very professional and very welcoming. The suite was confortable and full of character. The location is great, right in the center of the town close by a lot of good restaurants and pubs.

This hotel is typical of a business that only succeeds because of its location in Stratford where it is guaranteed business and so doesn't need to bother to try. I can quite understand the need for a barrier on the car park to make sure guests can park but a charge of £10 a day?????? Is that really necessary??. My...

Wow we thought what a beautiful hotel we thought. Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly receptionist. The room was lovely overlooking the fantastic gardens. It started to go downhill when I asked for an ice bucket and 2 glasses and was told if I want one to go to the bar down stairs and ask there. The bed...

Dear Lee W Thank you for your review and I am very sorry about the incidents which detracted from your stay. The stains on your bathrobe, I understand, were caused by a member of staff mistakenly washing them with some dark napkins on a high temperature - they have now all been thrown away. Thank you for the positive comments...
