Room was ok but not worth the price, but we did just turn up and that's all they had left ,the guy on the reception desk was not very helpful came across arrogant ,and for such an iconic building the maintenance of the building was very poor and our room 215 the bathroom had what I call simple issues to...

My wife and I stayed for four nights at this lovely hotel in Stratford. The room was excellent, all the staff were charming and breakfast was very good. The hotel has a wonderful Tudor frontage and all the fittings etc inside reflect the frontage.A lovely stay in a beautiful town, I would recommend the Shakespeare to anyone.

This quirky building is right in the centre of the town and ver convenient for ..... everything. As a very old building, it has some quirky features such as wonky floors, small rooms, and the rooms at the front are rather stuffy (can't open windows). We did not eat there, so are unable to comment on the food/restaurant but there...

Set in the heart of the city with easy walk to everything. Spacious room in Garrick wing only minutes to Avon or any local restaurants. Worth the visit and certainly the town is well worth the visit. Town was bustling being Fathers Day so not sure what it is normally like.

I arrived on Tuesday to discover I had a premium room which was fab! Chandelier, Robe, slippers, chocolate, nespresso machine. Luxury! Fab surroundings. Central location. Beautifully furnished. Nice outdoor seating area and a ghost! All staff incredibly attentive and friendly. Downside -main meal on Tuesday night not great. Bacon Wednesday morning cold. Otherwise meals (think we were on the theatre...

We choose this historic hotel for a mid week break as it was very central and walking distance to landmarks etc. I had asked for a higher room at the back with a garden view and although the first room we were given had a four poster bed, the window glass was opaque so requested another room. The receptionist gave...

We stayed here for a birthday treat in June 2015 and it was a lovely experience. The hotel dates back to the 1600's and has retained much of its character - leaded windows, beams, etc. it's very clean throughout. We were on the first floor in the Macbeth room. Lovely large bedroom, tastefully decorated and nicely furnished with a comfy...

We last stayed at the Shakespeare 25 years ago and were delighted to revisit it. The hotel is in a perfect location in the centre of Stratford, although this can make it a bit noisy at night, certainly if you look onto the street as we did. Our room was lovely - beamed, sloping and creaky, just what you'd expect...
