I wish I had read the comments before booking here. We paid for the room, entered it and instantly regretted it. It smelt really bad, the carpet was mouldy and covered in stains, the pillows had weird stains on them, the TV was from the 1980s, and the radiator in the bathroom was leaking and leaving a disgusting smell. We...

I had to spend 2 weeks here for university near by. My work had booked the hotel so I had no say in what hotel I stayed in. I read the reviews online, and it didn't look promising, so with a bit of doubt I entered the hotel. The car park is around the back of the hotel, and is...

Staff really friendly and approachable Breakfast is small but very nice . Rooms could do with a little improvement but over all experience of the lodge is very . Although the main problem is decor , that does not stop me recommending a stay , very cost effective Can't praise enough , only 5 mins walk from local train station

when we arrived you had to ring a buzzer to get the door open, which would have been fine if it did not take the receptionist a few minutes to actually do so! When we entered the room it was very small and basic. Very unhygienic with wall paper coming off of the walls in the bathroom, copious amounts of...

Arrived into a dodgy looking car park, had to ring a bell on a fire door to get in as no entrance. Smell of cigarette smoke in hallway and the room......... I have paid £40 many times for hotel rooms and they have all been palaces compared to this place. The carpet in the room was absolutely filthy with countless...

Carpets old and filthy. Furniture dirty and worn. Stains and smears on walls and ceiling. Unpleasant odours. Dirty bed linen. Decor... that would be an insult - a selection of dated canvasses just made it feel even sleazier. (A four year old could paint better - even taking the mirror off the wall before painting might have been a good...

This hotel was dirty! Smelled of smoke in the room, toilet didn't flush properly and the seat was cracked. The shower was so dirty we didn't want to use it and they only provided one towel! There were stains on the walls, mirror and bedding. The carpet was sticky, the wardrobe had no doors or hangers and i did not...

Grim on the outside and grim on the inside, staff helpful but room was very poor. Bathroom hardly any room and very badly put together, grills on the windows, if there had been a fire in the corridors would not have been able to get out, polystyrene tiles on the ceiling, absolute fire hazard should not be allowed to be...
