First of all, we couldn't even get into our room after multiple trips downstairs to get the cards changed we eventually got let in by a cleaner to be severely disappointed. Wall paper peeling off the walls, disgusting stains on walls and carpet, bathroom was unclean and just disgusting. The bed looked clean at first glance until we pulled back...

It's hard to believe that this hotel once hosted the world famous Rivaldo who was footballer of the year in his pomp!!! I've never stayed here before, but considering it's spring and I asked for a quiet room, I was given a ninth floor room which was sweltering hot!! Not because the heating was on; but due to the sheer...

Please please read the reviews before you book this hotel. I did so i had an open mind when i arrived. This hotel really needs to be updated. The staff although polite do not look happy. I saw what was supposed to be a security person slouching on one of the sofas in the reception area playing on his phone...

Stay there for one night. Not clean room, bed smell. Breakfast in the morning was absolutely basic but nothing to complain about. One huge positive moment - the location is perfect for tourists. Couldn't ask for better in terms of exploring the city center. Just a 1 minute walk from New Street Station. Was there in 2013

I stayed at this hotel for one night I had no choice as it was booked by my work place . I have no words other than disgusting . The room smelled of sick , bugs in the bed and down the toilet, vomit stained chair , dirty grout , no sink plug and broken shower . I arrived late...

I booked the Britannia because it was close to the conference I was attending. The reviews on the site I booked through did not indicate just how poor the hotel is, possibly because the prices they charge vary considerably. I paid £99,00 for a one-night stay and an additional £10,50 for breakfast. My room though clean was of a low...

The hotel staff are pleasant and helpful but sadly the whole hotel needs updating. Carpets are old and worn, window in room doesn't close meaning it's cold ( as heating doesn't work either) and it makes the room noisy. In the positive side it's in the middle of the shopping street and has several nice restaurants nearby

I chose this hotel because it was centrally placed and seemed like good value for money. However, I expected the hotel to be opposite New Street station, like the website said it was. It wasn't. It was opposite shops and New Street station was round the corner. Secondly, although the room was clean, one of the plugs didn't work. Also...

I stayed here for two nights (18th and 19th March 2017). It's quite an old hotel and it shows from the decor. The room I stayed in (No. 312) had stained carpet and stained wallpaper. There was a leak in the bathroom sink which had been repaired previously judging from the amount of filler around the edge of it. There...
