Room dated but clean& functional. Just lacking in draw space only had wardrobe which we coped with as only their for weekend. Picked this hotel as near paradise forum & symphony hall. Unfortunately paradise forum all shut. Will go back when development done. Staff very friendly.

Good hotel in a good location for bars restaurants and shops. We had a studio suite that was nice but not great. The deco was very dated and the suite was not luxury when advertised as "Luxury at its Best". The paint work on the bath was peeling off. The shower was very poor and slow. The bath was a...

Stayed for 2 nights at end of August. Arrived about half seven to a very quick check in. The staff were pleasant and knowledgeable. The room was pleasant although slightly dated but had all the amenities required from a hotel room, which was quite warm in the night but a fan was also provided if needed. A little traffic noise...

Me and my friend had a night out in Birmingham on Friday night. The hotel was a very good price - £54.00 for a double room, can't complain! However we could see why. I can't grumble for £54.00 the decor was dated, the staff were fairly rude and the place could have been cleaned a lot better, but for the...

We booked two rooms for myself and my daughter as we were going to the theatre, we got the rooms at a good price, but would have preferred to pay more for a more modern hotel. Checking in was very slow, there was only one lady in front of us, and we were waiting for at least 15 minutes, check...

Stayed here over august bank holiday-with our friends. Arrived mid-afternoon Saturday to wait half hour to check in. There were three staff members-two of which tried to help this family who had issues with their booking. After the two staff members helped this family, they disappeared in the back room and left one person on the reception with a massive...

Used this hotel as a stop over for a show at Alexander theatre. Rooms very clean but very dated. Check in was very quick and easy. They probably should close this place while the road works are there and start updating the rooms. Carpets very thread bear. Stains on the walls. The only good point I can make is the...

We had a night out in Brum planned and struggled for a decent priced hotel for a quick sleepover. I was chuffed to get a low price for the Copthorne as it is a big hotel in a good position. Turns out it has transformed over time, into a budget hotel for hens and stags. More dated inside than the...

I booked the Copthorne for a Friday evening when I had to attend a leaving meal in Birmingham. The hotel seems to have a prestigious name amongst some people I spoke to however I didn't feel it lived up to the 4 star label. Granted the hotel was cheap, £38 for the night on a Friday, I thought I was...

Fails to meet the standard of similar business hotels, wifi didn't work, the breakfast was dire and building work outside went on through the night. You wouldn't expect unwrapped weetabix at breakfast at the Copthorne, some tinned fruit, the black pudding was tired at best, bacon tasteless and tomatoes over cooked.
