I came at 12 PM after the party, nice gentleman let me in, gave me the key to my room and that was it. I don't remember much afterwards, beds were super long and comfy, shower was close, they gave a little nice cube of soap, shampoo and a million clean towels. 100 times better than a hostel, although it...

I always stay at the Bloc when visiting Birmingham, it's clean, the staff are friendly and it has everything you need. The rooms are a little small but very modern and the beds are really comfortable. The location is excellent, it's a 10 minute walk to the City Centre and there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Although there...

Nice hotel with comfy bed.. didn't like the bathroom... no one needs clear doors, no matter how long they've been with their partner! Good location and great parking discount with NCP down the road. Reception staff friendly and knowledgeable. Great price.. not too keen on the lighting, but I'm not a trendy young thing! Really handy having free wifi, which...

Small rooms, no natural light, noise from neighbouring rooms either side and above. I get the concept but it's not great. I am disappointed and really feel that for the money without breakfast it wasn't value for money. Modern and good condition.

BLOC Hotels concept is very different to traditional style hotels and does not appeal to everyone. It sounds like you stayed in a Sleep room where it has no window. We do have Vista rooms for £5 more that have windows. As BLOC Hotel is a room only hotel and does not have any food and beverage facilities, we have...

We found this hotel when looking for somewhere to stay near the Barclaycard Arena and I would definitely use it again. It's a tiny room with just a king-sized bed, a TV and a few coat hooks and then a wet room bathroom. The bed however was really comfortable and the wet room shower was great. There is not a...

We have a lot of people who tend to book BLOC Hotel Birmingham when an event or concert is on at the Barclaycard Arena. The hotels location means its just a short walk from the venue. Many thanks for your review.

Very comfortable room. Central location. Not far from Xmas market. Friendly staff and very clean. Parking at ncp is £5.50 for 24 hours and we had breakfast at all bar one which was around 5 mins walk away. If you're looking for a pub to go to nearby can recommend the queens arms which is only a couple of mins...

My partner and I stayed here for a single night in this "boutique capsule hotel", in a king sized bed, with almost no extraneous frills, and it was wonderful. The room is - as very much touted by the hotel - tiny. There's just about room to walk in, and a large king sized bed that fills the majority of...

Stayed here when I visited Xmas Market. It is very unique in the style. The rooms are exactly as described when booking. There is a wet room with shower toilet and sink, lift to all floors, plug sockets next to bed,TV in wall and its £5 extra for a window. Beds comfy, staff lovely. 12 minwalk to centre and £5.50...

At this time of year we receive reviews from guests who visit the German Christmas Market. The hotel is in such a great location as you can walk to most of the attractions in town and don't have the need for a taxi. Thank you for taking the time to write your review.

I was truly amazed by the cheerful nature of the entire staff. But one touching moment in which the housekeeping staff exceeded my expectations stands out. I returned to the room, having placed my four bottles of medication, and discovered a courtesy bottle of water placed next to the aforementioned medicine. Brilliant!

I stayed last week with my niece, the hotel was friendly and clean. The room was quite small but the bed was a good size and really comfy. The lady on the desk was more than helpful. The breakfast was £6 and actually better than I expected, a really nice yoghurt, croissant fresh fruit and cup of tea. My niece...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Bloc hotel is located in Birminghams Jewellery Quarter. The village atmosphere created by its cafes-bars and restaurants is complemented by the business-shopping-arts and sports facilities that are also on its doorstep. We have taken loose inspiration from Japanese pod style hotels which means much larger rooms more akin to a cabin on a luxury yacht with finishes and fittings to match. The rooms are equipped with a King Size Double Bed-luxurious linen-climate control-wet room with monsoon drench shower-Samsung 32inch led flat screen TV and high speed WIFI. Birmingham is of course a centrally located travel hub and for many of our visitors that will be the most important factor in just how quickly and conveniently they can access the motorway network-national rail and international flights. ... more   less
