Ok, impressed with the room, the mood and lighting were really cool. Bed was really comfy. The shower was truly amazing. Not happy with occupants of room above me, sure it was Michael Flatley and co doing the riverdance all night 😭

I'm pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay at BLOC Hotel Birmingham. I'm just sorry to hear that through the fault of other guests in the hotel, it disrupted your stay. Hopefully you made reception aware of the noise coming from the occupants above so they could have spoken to them. Thank you for taking the time to write...

Firstly, let me state that I did not select this hotel. A local company booked a week for me here whilst I was doing some work for them. It was relatively close by. I lasted 2 nights! I arrived for a week of business with suitcase, laptop, 4 suits and a range of shirts plus some casual clothes. I opened...

Thank you for your constructive review of your stay at BLOC Hotel Birmingham. The concept of BLOC does not suit everyone, especially when the hotel is booked by a third party on behalf of someone as they may not pass the concept on. BLOC is definitely not a traditional hotel. With this in mind you may be interested to know...

If you are on a budget, but still want to stay in a modern, clean and well equipped hotel, Bloc is a good choice. The rooms are compact, so it isn't the type of hotel you spend lots of time in. However, the bed is huge and comfy. Good flat screen TV, wet room, free wifi. Zero mobile phone reception...

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. I'm pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay. I'm sorry to hear that you had no signal on your mobile phone. I would be interested to know what network you are on so it could get followed up. It's always nice to know what the hotel could improve to...

We stayed for 2 nights there and nothing special...no fridge in room no mini bar also in the first day no bottled water...in the second we had 2. Comfortable bed..but that's it. Business hotel only for shower and sleep. Not for family. They need a little bit of control manager as we told reception that we would like to check...

Came here last year for a night out. Could be closer to the centre but wasn't too much of an issue as we just got taxis. Our room was very small and basic but very clean and was fine for us just staying one night, I couldn't stay longer. The room had no windows which could feel a bit stuffy...

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. I'm pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay and liked the concept of BLOC Hotels. Should you stay next time, maybe you should try booking a Vista room. These are rooms with windows. You may also be interested to know that shortly Apartment BLOC will be opening. These will be...

This place is just brilliant. It might be no frills but they offer a good quality of bedroom within a contemporary setting. It's about time that the budget hotel world became a bit more up to date. I would stay here every time. However not sure I could do more than a few nights in a windowless room.

Comfy enough, warm enough, but it's the shocking cost of a bed that upsets me. A comfy bed with a small amount of noise from passers by and the trains, but not enough to disturb an average sleeper. Not superb and not bad, but for 85 pounds for a night for 2 people it's frighteningly small and pokey for your...

I'm pleased to hear that you found the hotel comfy. BLOC hotel tries to remain competitive with their rates within the city and flexes its rates in line with occupancy levels. I'm sorry to hear that you found the rate too pricey for the accommodation offered. I'm sure if you were to have searched for other hotels on the date...

I wanted to love this hotel. When I first arrived I did. Really quick and easy check-out, the room was modern and clean. Perfect for a one night stay. For the price and convenience there really is very little to complain about. We paid around £60 for a Saturday night's stay in a comfortable double room. The room and en suite were immaculately clean. There was enough space for two people to get ready for an evening out, but don't expect an enormous expansive room - thats not this...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Bloc hotel is located in Birminghams Jewellery Quarter. The village atmosphere created by its cafes-bars and restaurants is complemented by the business-shopping-arts and sports facilities that are also on its doorstep. We have taken loose inspiration from Japanese pod style hotels which means much larger rooms more akin to a cabin on a luxury yacht with finishes and fittings to match. The rooms are equipped with a King Size Double Bed-luxurious linen-climate control-wet room with monsoon drench shower-Samsung 32inch led flat screen TV and high speed WIFI. Birmingham is of course a centrally located travel hub and for many of our visitors that will be the most important factor in just how quickly and conveniently they can access the motorway network-national rail and international flights. ... more   less
