I was supposed to stay at this hotel on Friday (14th) and today I received an email stating they had cancelled my booking?! I rang the hotel to see why the reason was, and their reason was because they couldn't find my card details even though when booking it stated that I can pay when I get there (pay later)...

I have stayed here loads as it is cheap and cheerful and that is what i like in this area. Before current refurbishment there was only one wheelchair accessible room and although it was a double, they used to give it to me at a single room price. ,Food good and reasonably priced, service excellent. Would highly recommend and after...

The owner was helpful and very polite but this hotel is filthy dirty, there were no kettles in the rooms but a ground floor shared kitchen complete with mice !!!!! If a little scrubbing and thought went into this place it could be much better

I spent two days here on a course, but didn't actually stay overnight as I am quite local. Others on the course did, and there were tales of broken showers, missing curtains etc, and one young woman had a man hammering on her door drunk for over an hour trying to get in. While we were in the bar area...

The phrase "Less than Salubrious" is often overused, with regards to this "hotel" it is a compliment. If you want a hotel where you have no bath mat, no towel, see through sheets, a see through duvet, a tv that doesn't work and 2 coat hangers; then this is the hotel for you. If, however, you like a hotel that...

This place is truly horrific, as I pulled into the car park and saw beds baths and mattresses throughout, I just assumed it was going in for some modernisation (How wrong I was). The staff on reception were rude as if I was causing a problem by just being there needing somewhere to stay the night. as soon as I...

Needs more than a fresh coat of paint. In need of completely modernising. Location is good. Paid £35 for a night via late rooms. Would not pay £70.00. Works were underway to refresh the place. Lift was in a right state, stained and dirty. No signs to apologise for inconvenience. Window on room 130 had screws to hold it closed....

As we drive into the car park, I thought "my goodness, what on earth have we booked?" Look, I'm not a snob, my partner and I stay in the crappiest places, we travel with backpacks, we "get our heads down" and go exploring. We were in B'ham for a conference today so thought yeah okay let's pay 40 quid for...

The room was very small and the bathroom was even smaller. The toilet seat was broken and the sink was so small that if you turned the tap on to much the water would spurt over the edge of the sink. The bedroom was cleanish (have seen worse) but the bed was soo lumpy it was not fit for a...
