Have stayed with Novotel many times in different countries and this stay did not disappoint. We stayed here as a large family group (11 adults and one child) who were in the area to attend a family funeral. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable and the bathrooms were super clean and modern with plenty of fresh towels and toiletries. We all ate together in the restaurant and could not fault the service or the food which was very good indeed. In particular the staff were superb and could not do enough for us, both at the restaurant, bar and reception. The hospitality in particular of the manager Fadika was excellent; he was friendly, helpful, professional and nothing was too much trouble. It didn't feel like we were staying in a hotel chain and we all felt very well looked after. Location is also great being close to the M6 and within easy reach of Coventry centre. Would highly recommend.…
This isn't the greatest Novotel in the world but the staff are friendly, helpful and the rooms are comfortable. Convenient for the CBS Arena and the football. Would stay again. Decent bar area and breakfast hit the mark. Stayed with my daughter and she was bemused tinfind that the sofa bed wasn't made up on arrival but very quickly rectified by the helpful staff.
Reading the other reviews I am not sure they are writing about this hotel. We stayed 3 nights in a comfortable room that was clean and well maintained. Welcomed by a charming receptionist who double checked I had put my registration in the machine to use the free car park. From the hotel I drove to Coventry City Centre, Birmingham city centre and the NEC for an exhibition, all straight forward with no issues. If your in the area I would recommend a visit to Coventry, it a nice centre with lots of good shops and on and evening a choice of eateries and pubs with music.
I stayed for business and I’m glad I don’t know how much this cost the company! The room was fine, no niceties - tea and coffee products in a paper cup, paper cups in the bathroom and no menu for the room service. The curtain had smears of brown all down them - it was a wipeable curtain so I’m unsure why these were left. The bin had rubbish from a tissue and some chocolate wrappers and the bed had bits in which made me question whether the room had even been cleaned. The staff on reception were training which was fine and the room service delivery was great but the food was mediocre at best. The pizza clearly was bunged out of a frozen box container and the ice cream was cheap and nasty. The bar stop serving food very early too which means they get funny when you bring your own food which isn’t surprising given the menu is dire! No bar snacks and I’m glad I didn’t stay long as I wouldn’t book this for a family visit!…
The room has rotten damp and a window that flow open in the night, The walls by the window were very damp and there was a hole in the floor skirting board The carpets were stained and the shower was broken. The kettle did not work. The staff were friendly and the cleaning was poor there was a glass shelf so dusty it was unbelievable
The hotel is completely prosaic - lifeless, lacking character, spiritless. It’s clear that the staff have better things to be doing than their jobs, as I waited 17 minutes for an unapologetic host to come and greet me. Expecting him to take my luggage to my third floor room for me, he instead led me to the woeful lift. Why is a lift that should only go up and down, shaking and going left to right? A sense of disquietude overcame me - was this where it all ends? Trying to hold back my tears, I comforted my child. When I stepped out the lift, I felt grateful to still possess the gift of life, yet also had a sense of impending doom, for I was about to witness the bedchamber I had been assigned to for the night. Thinking of it now makes me retch. I have tears in my eyes. I nearly turned straight back around and left, but the thought of the Brexit conference that brought me to Nuneaton in the first place made me stay. It was going to be worth it, all I had to do was get through the night. This hotel is my bête noire. I will never return here. If I am unfortunate enough to ever have to return to Nuneaton, I would rather set up a tent under the motorway bridge.…
stayed for here for an avent at the arena the staff were very good drinks at the bar very reasonable, got to room first off fidge didn't work room was clean ,shower was powerfull another drawback apart from the fridge was the bed was like sleeping on a block of concrete woke up with bad back .Next morning full buffet breakfast everything was cooked fresh gd choice 10er a head so not bad overall if bed n fridge was ok full 5
Easy to find & plenty of space in the car park. Reception & staff were lovely. The room must of been designed by a man… no plug near the mirror to dry your hair. Bed felt like it was sloping to the left wfh h was annoying Bathroom very modern & lovely until I saw mild around the bath & at the bottom of the shower screen. Breakfast ok but the coffee needs upgrading !
Walls were paper thin. Could hear everything from room next door. Didn’t get much sleep. Very tired / dirty decor. The net curtains were on a broken rail so only went half way. Staff were good. Breakfast was very dried out from being under heat lamps. At over £150 for the night I would expect better than I got.
One night stay in a superior premium room with queen bed. Great location just off motorway. Car parking free to hotel guests. Friendly and welcoming lady on reception. Room was clean and comfortable and slept really well with no noise disturbance at all. Had an evening meal and breakfast. Food was good and restaurant was clean and spacious. What really made our stay so remarkable was the fantastic staff. A very polite young man who goes by the name of “T” (he said his name was too long and difficult to remember) was working in both the bar and restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble for him, he was always smiling and he never stopped working. The lovely man in charge of the restaurant for the night was called Fadika. He was so professional and attentive. Again, nothing was too much trouble for him and he genuinely wanted guests to have the best experience possible. I would stay at this hotel again without hesitation. Excellent value for money and great service.…
