Ate in the bar & found the food to be good with an extensive choice. The Cumberland sausage was cooked well & was a generous portion. My partner had Scampi & it to was very good. The prices were quite high we thought but that may be due to being in Bronte country.

A small but comfortable inn with excellent cuisine and attentive staff. En suite accommodation and traditionally furnished guest areas. Situated in cobbled high street within walking distance of the Bronte parsonage museum. Parking is at the back of the hotel. Haworth is a premium tourist destination; this hotel is good value for money.

I have stayed here half a dozen times before, but each visit is more enjoyable. As a birthday treat for my husband we spent 2 nights at The Old White Lion, and had a fabulously relaxing stay. The room was cosy without being cramped, with a lovely view of the main street. The bathroom had a corner bath and shower....

My husband and I spent a wonderful weekend in Haworth. This hotel is situated at the top of the hill overlooking beautiful fields and the cobbled streets. We stayed Saturday and Sunday which was very busy. We didn't sleep particularly well Saturday night as the hotel was full and the walls are quite thin as it is a very old...

This hotel is in the Centre of Haworth just 100m or so from the Bronte Parsonage. The hotel does have its own little car park around the back which is for the exclusive use of guests. The staff were very friendly and the room was spotlessly clean with plenty of tea and coffee. The breakfast and the evening meal were...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The 300 year old facade of this former coaching inn hides the fact this family run hotel combines charming olde world features with thoroughly modern facilities. Situated at the top of the famous cobbled street, walked by the Revd. Patrick Bronte and his famous family. In more recent times as illustrated on TV in Hovis advertisements. This is very much an establishment where food and drink are taken seriously, and dispensed along with hospitality in good measure. Warmth, comfort and a relaxed atmosphere prevail throughout the 14 en-suite bedrooms, beamed bars, restaurant and oak paneled lounge.Freshly prepared food is provided by the highly qualified chefs. Keeping up with modern trends, without ignoring the popularity of old favourites. Featured in major food guides the Gimmerton restaurant is open every evening. An extensive range of reasonably priced bar meals being available in the cosy bars, where real ales are prominent. Exceptional value breaks available both mid-week as well as weekends throughout the year. ... more   less
