Went to Haworth for a family day and stopped in here for a meal. Was lovely and quiet so got seated fast. The women who took our order was lovely and really friendly. Orders got taken fast and the meal was lovely. We all got a starter and main and not one person had any complaints about the meal. One...

During an overnight stay other guests were disruptive and kept us awake well in to the early hours, swearing, shouting and running up and down the corridors. The manager did not intervene or support us at all. We paid £180 for two rooms and he was not prepared to take any responsibility for other guests behaviour and offer any sort...

Visited here during the week with my parents for lunch. It's high up in Wuthering Heights country typically olde worlde pub but very welcoming. There was a nice fire burning on arrival and we were greeted by a friendly lady who looked after us well throughout our stay. Two of us had the steak and old peculiar ale pie, and...

Went here for the first time on Sunday for lunch and I have to say it was the nicest home cooked meal while dining out I have had in years. The meat was perfect, the vegetables were cooked to perfection and plenty to go around. 3 dishes full between 6 of us. The service was excellent and they couldn't do...

Have not been here for years. Today me and a mate was trying to think of somewhere to go for some food and decided to have a drive to the Old Silent. The pub was warm and cozy with open fires and the food and service were excellent. A lovely young lady on the bar served us and then another...

Great food, lovely atmosphere, professional friendly staff who can't do enough for you. Thoroughly recommended. Parking is free, the views to get there are wonderful, and the recently renovated decode complements the venue perfectly. I would suggest that you book.

Went for a buffet meal arranged for a friend's birthday. The staff said they could handle a Coeliac's dietary needs, but I've heard that before. What a change this time! My wife was sought out, and a special one-off selection had been prepared for her. Sometimes in the past this had happened at other restaurants, but the meal had been...

We spotted the pub when driving by and called in for a quick lunch and a drink. There's a good atmosphere and the staff were friendly. We didn't get the chance to sample the main courses, but my panini was freshly made and very tasty. The place was very busy and we were lucky to get a small table on...

Having visited this pub regularly over the past 5 years we have come to expect excellent service and food that matched. However our visit on Friday the 2nd December was the exact reverse of previous experience. The lack of diners on a Friday evening should have been a strong indicator that something was wrong and indeed by the end of...

This is a real example of a cosy country pub. We visited on two separate occasions this week for lunch along with our dog. We were very impressed both times. We were greeted by friendly staff and an open log fire. A good selection of local real ales. The food was wholesome, home cooked and very tasty. The service was...
