Here for Sunday lunch & could not have asked for better - we were inside but I recommend explaining where your table is if you prefer to sit outside because the garden is a good size & you do not want your food to be cold on arrival. Very good range of food available, freshly cooked & served by friendly...

This is generally a lovely pub, great choice of drinks and there is a quiet and pretty garden at the back. The food is also normally good. Unfortunately, my experience today was not the best. We ordered a children's burger (which was supposed to be a smaller version of the main) and smoked salmon fish cakes plus drinks. The meals...

We were driving around the Isle of Skye and stopped here for lunch. It was a beautiful day and the inside and outside dining areas were crowded. We were seated by a welcoming waitress. I ordered two ales from the bar and left it to the bartender to select the choice. He gave me a taste of a few and...

A lovely old English pub house with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Great traditional menu with good quality food (lovely fish and chips). The garden area is set to the rear with views of the cathedral. I have taken several cruise passenger groups, as Southampton Cruise Private Tours, and loved the old English pub experience.

While visiting Salisbury we wondered around the old city and spotted this lovely old pub with low ceilings and oak beams, we only stopped for 1 beer and decided to go in the rear garden ...wow it's so deceiving on its size..worth it.

I been here a few times to have drinks with friends. The garden is lovely. I've decided to have lunch today to try the food. The staff was really friendly and the Caesar Salad was fine. Maybe a bit expensive for a salad, however it was yummy. A nice place to try. The garden outside is lovely for sunny days.

Excellent quality food. And friendly atmosphere. I have been here a few times in the last two years and the food just gets better and better. New menu is inspired. Excellent top restaurant quality food but still with some pub traditionals. Price is very reasonable. Highly recommended Thank you for a fantastic supper.

After touring the Cathedral, we stopped in for lunch. Great sandwiches and beer. My wife ordered a seafood chowder of some nature which was wonderful. Staff was friendly and helpful as were the locals in the pub. Traditional pub décor. Good service, food and prices.

If you want a Sunday Lunch cooked just like Mum did it, this is the place to go from mid day to 4.00pm. It is superb. The oldest building I have been into in Salisbury apart from St Thomas's Church is cosy and warm with a great welcome from the Landlord and Staff, especially those serving the Carvery
