Have just come from a delicious meal at The Prince Albert. First the (very few) negatives. The welcome was perhaps not the warmest as we had no reserved, but they found space for us (a group of seven, impressive) in minutes. The atmosphere was a little quiet as there was no music, and the view of the road was a little...

We were actually staying in a B&B nearby for a couple of nights and were recommended to the Prince Albert by our hostess. It may not look much from the outside but PLEASE don't be put off because the food truly is excellent. We were greeted with a really nice, genuine welcome and shown through to the well-presented restaurant area....

Very disappointed with our choice. Not at all what we expected when we checked on trip advisor. When we opened the door we were greeted with a smell of dirty old carpet .However the room looked quite modern apart from the carpet. The en suite resembled a pub toilet. The breakfast was very disappointing with soggy bread! Definitely not worth the money

We ate dinner in the restaurant and it was the best meal we have eaten in a restaurant in a long time. It was enjoyable to sit in the pub area after our meal....
