😀 beautiful building with an unusual history
Pleasant young team
Very nice meals and good value bar/wines
Lovely comfy big bed and nice furnishings in Room 32
Spacious areas and amazing gardens
Very good value deal we felt
Traditional touches you’d expect
😌 you have to drive 3-4 miles to eat anywhere else. Gardeners Arms volunteered a 10% discount readily on mains when we said we were staying at Dumbleton.
Looks to be mid upgrade in some common areas decor wise but clearly in hand

Will return in summer as a stunning location with good access to Broadway and northern villages. Next time we’d just eat there the menu was fine and food was good quality and nicely presented.

Set in beautiful countryside near Evesham and Cotswold Broadway this isolated hotel is both grand and very comfortable with enormous deep mattressed beds and recently restored bathrooms with plenty of hot water and luxury towels. The included dinner was excellent as was the breakfast. It is dog (and people)friendly and both dogs and owners will no doubt enjoy the many walks, lake and views. With an interesting and long history we would recommend this hotel and hope to return soon.

We stayed one night with our two children and dog on one of the hottest days of the year!
The hotel and gardens are absolutely stunning and it was so nice to have a lovely drink on the outdoor patio overlooking the spectacular views.
Considering they have only just opened we saw no teething problems and the staff were all amazing! We had dinner and breakfast and the food and service was outstanding.
Extremely on the ball with Covid restrictions, everyone in communal areas must wear a mask, and there’s plenty of sanitiser everywhere.
Very dog friendly with treats and water in the lobby for them and it’s such a lovely walk around the grounds where we got some beautiful pictures in the gardens amongst the flowers.
The only downside was with no aircon available in the rooms it was rather hot on a day that reached 34 degrees but a nice cold glass of wine on the patio soon remedied that!

We’ve just spent two very enjoyable nights at the Dumbleton Hall Hotel.
The hotel is set in beautiful and well maintained grounds with wonderful views of the surrounding Worcestershire Countryside and is an ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds and surrounding area.
We were a bit hesitant about a break away in the middle of a pandemic. However, our reservations were unfounded, as all precautions are in place to create a safe and enjoyable environment which is totally Covid Compliant.
Having booked the two nights stay through Travelzoo, we found the accommodation and food included in the deal excellent value for money. The hotel is a very old period property so don’t expect all the refinements of a modern hotel, as far as we were concerned that adds to the character of the is stunning looking building.
Dinner and breakfast were excellent and the bar prices for a hotel are not extortionate. The service throughout our stay was first class.
We would recommend this hotel and hope to return in the future should a similar deal be available.

We visited Dumbleton Hall using a Travelzoo deal for dinner + bed + breakfast for 2 nights at the end of May. On arrival the place is stunning; the building and the grounds are very impressive, and the cars in the car park made me feel like they might ask me to park my 12 year old Honda Civic round the back! The lady greeting us on reception was super friendly and made us feel very welcome. Once we got into the hotel and into our room, it became clear that the interior of the hotel isn't quite as grand as the exterior. Our room was nice but a little dated, with a strong smell of chip fat drifting up from the kitchen beneath the window. The carpets and wallpaper etc along the corridors is all a little dated, and the glass panes in the doors mismatched - just little things which made it feel less upmarket. As a wedding venue, I'd expect more care over those details. Dinner was nice, although some of the food was a bit bog standard; the burger was very plain with a slice of plasticy cheese, and the raspberry delice dessert reminded us of something that might be served in a care home or hospital. The cheese fondant starter and rhubarb dessert were lovely though. They were well organised for breakfast, with order slips submitted the night before - although they did get our order wrong on the second morning. The staff in the restaurant were all very nice and efficient. There's a lovely lounge area which I imagine is very cosy in winter, and a terrace outside for drinks in the sunshine. Dogs are allowed in certain areas which is good if you need to take your pooch away with you. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Dumbleton, however I won't rush to go back.

Stayed here for 3 nights last week and loved every minute of it. It is a beautiful old building with glorious grounds for walking or sitting in to just enjoy the views.
Our room was simple but scrupulously clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Mealtimes were such a joy with breakfast straight from the kitchen, Hot, not tepid as is quite often the case in hotels. No hard poached or fried eggs here, just perfect.
The selection of dishes for Dinner were varied and very tasty. The Seabass, Pork Belly and the Leg of Lamb were delicious and the Sticky Toffee pudding is to die for.
We chatted with one couple who were on their fifth visit and we certainly can’t wait to go back.
We found the staff pleasant and efficient. Hand sanitiser was readily available throughout the hotel so the covid precautions could be readily adhered to.
A big thank you to all the staff.

situated in an outstanding scenic position this is a hotel that is working hard and succeeding to offer guests a hgh level of service in a diffcult covid situation. Staff were brillaint combining a pwersonal and rofessional service in all areas. preventitive measures were very thorough and we felt very safe and relaxed. Breafast and evening meals were very good value and to a high standard and our rom had clearly been deepcleaned. Lovel place, lovely people and happy to highly recommend. We stayed B&B for 4 nights over Christmas to visit family in the area.

On arrival Ryan (I think) and another receptionist were a little cold, we arrived about 90 mins early due to light traffic, the room wasn't ready which I got the impression that even if it had been you wouldn't be allowed to check in until 1500. We went for a walk and then had a drink and waited.

We were given room 1, the room was large, had views over the parkland. The bed was two singles zipped together, which we don't mind but please, if you are doing this use a topper, also the half way sheet change, we didn't have a mattress protector on either, we only realised on our last night. The bathroom was good, shower ok and the room facilities up there for a 3 star hotel. It was a bit odd having the fridge just on the floor though but it was fine.

The hotel grounds are wonderful, great for walking and relaxing even in winter. The building is impressive, the roaring open fire, the history just made it a lovely Christmas.

Breakfast was really good, all local produce with just the right amount.

The staff overall were excellent (except on first impressions), couldn't do enough for us and always happy to have a chat.

The hotel is dog friendly, has towels and treat at reception, it seemed most people left their dogs in the room at meal times but we popped him in the car boot. The grounds are really good for them, though I must say the poop bin next to the pond was over flowing and never emptied whilst we were there and people just kept adding to the floor collection.

We did think though it would be wonderful in summer but rethought it when they can cover 2,3 or 4 weddings a weekend which wouldn't for us be pleasant. Maybe another Christmas at some point.

Overall a great stay.

Our experience faded quickly once entering the hotel, the grounds and building appearance are grand and stunning. When checking in we had to wait 20mns to be seen with only one receptionist available (no apologies for the delay). Our room was tired and in need of some urgent TLC. Carpet fraying and marked in some areas, windows needing painting with only one able to open. Bathroom tap loose and so was the toilet seat. Only two toilet rolls provided for a 3 night stay meaning that once again you had to wait at the reception to ask for extra toilet rolls (not great). No skimmed milk available seen as a poor sign of customer preference.

Arriving in the restaurant for breakfast, faced with a filthy cup which was replaced but without an apology from the staff. Communication between reception staff was poor creating issues with our arrangement and our bill being incorrect, problem with refunding our invoice. Once again no apologies from the staff or manager.

Overall, Dumbleton Hall Hotel had a year without customers to ensure every room had been properly inspected, repaired and sorted before reopening. Management and Staffs to be trained in customer first experience to provide a customer perception of a highly skilled and professional team welcoming customers at last.

Poor experience, a missed opportunity........in a grand surrounding.

Reading reviews of this Hotel I found it hard to believe we were all staying in the same place, however here is my opinion. The hotel is very attractive and has lovely grounds which are perfect to walk around, or to sit and appreciate. We were staying as part of a deal which included one meal in the hotel and an upgraded room. The room was lovely, in good decorative order and had a comfortable setttee, very welcome when you come back to the room at the end of a busy day. Towels were snowy white and good quality, the bed was very comfortable. The evening meal was good, and the breakfast system worked well, you ticked a sheet showing options and handed it into reception the previous day, you also booked a time. We had a lovely stay and would certainly make a return visit. If I could change one thing about our room it would be to replace our shower curtain with a shower screen, new owners please take note. If I could make one change to the hotel generally it would be to give the staff more training, this would build their confidence and help them to show their personalities more, oh and to buy more umbrellas for the garden as on both days we were unable to find a table in the shade. I would recommend this hotel and it was very welcoming to dogs for those that had them.

That is a bit of a damning question, you must be ignorant of the fact that in the hotel and service industry staff attend college to obtain qualifications in the various jobs they do within the hotel industry. I have stayed her on three occasions and have had impeccable service from all the staff. If read my review regarding an overpayment you can see why. Every time I visit I am impressed by the menu the chef offers, it is changed regularly he does not offer the same menu which is done in some of the hotels on regular basis. I have eaten and stayed in 5 star hotels in Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, Rome, as well as small friendly b&b's and my last cruise was with Regent Seven Seas. What you get is what you pay for, and in this case you get more than what you pay for.
