We stayed here for 3 nights in September 2020 - the hotel is in a great position for exploring the town. Off Street parking is limited when the hotel is full. There were several aspects of the room that we felt let the Hotel down, and we wrote to Management after our stay. None were major enough to complain about at the time but the meaness of supply one very small bottle of water per room, a television so small that you could not read the text, a lump bed, wifi that didn't work in our room and a shower that you could not turn out without getting wet - we felt were points the Management would like to know about. No reply ever received nor was our letter acknowledge.

Thank you so much for visiting. An interesting but disappointing review. So you supposedly stayed here nearly 5 MONTHS AGO and now you decide to have your say about apparently something at the time that was not enough to complain about that has upset you enough that you feel that its fair to vent your disapproval so long after the event. We most certainly DID NOT receive any letter from you as you suggest otherwise we would have responded accordingly. I cannot agree with your review and it really does come across as fictional and mean. During the summer lockdown, all of our rooms were re-furbished to an amazing standard of which we are suitably proud in every aspect. Without any proof that you ever stayed here I dismiss your review as scurrilous and fictitious. Its hard times for us all but we are very proud of our teamwork in looking after our guests. regards Chris and Barbara Morgan and our amazing team of perfectionists

We dined here as a family and had the most amazing experience. All of the food was absolutely delicious and the flavours of all of the dishes were absolutely beautiful and perfectly balanced. A personal favourite was the suchard chocolate mousse and my mum said her fishcakes were the best she’d ever tasted! The service was impeccable and we all felt thoroughly spoilt by all of the staff. Cannot wait to return for another visit!

My husband and I have been looking forward to eating out for my birthday and more so because the whole country has been in lock down and we had heard good things about the Cotford hotel, boasting its two rosettes and other accolades. The first impressions were very good. We were greeted at the door by friendly waiting staff all wearing face masks. We ordered our pre dinner drinks and got presented with the menu. At first glance the menu was lacking any imagination, with tiger prawns in a filo basket, a smoked salmon dish and a not overly imaginative parsnip soup, not very inspiring. Then I looked at the main courses where I was horrified to see fish cakes! Fish cakes which I could order with chip! I did not realise I had booked a table at a local chip shop. We ordered some bread and home made butters. Oh my! The sourdough bread was the finest I have ever tasted and the home made butters were delicious. Ironically my husband ordered the fish cakes because he likes them and wanted to see what a fancy restaurant would do with them. He was very disappointed with them, he said they were mainly potato, greasy and no where was there any indication of bouillabaisse which these fish cakes were supposed to be with. Which I am lead to believe is a tomato based fish stew. And it was supposed to come with a hollandaise sauce but they obviously ran out because my husband got Béarnaise sauce instead. I had the pheasant which was ok. Everything on the plate was very sweet and not well balanced at all. All served with reheated vegetables and greasy, tasteless potatoes in chipped crockery. We had some puddings which again showed little to no imagination. Both of ours came with “autumn fruits” which were just raspberries and strawberries. Which definitely are not autumnal and definitely not British, a sorbet which was very nice and nothing else. As I said earlier no imagination and little to no technical ability was involved making these puddings. Would I come back? Maybe if they started acting like a 2 rosetted restaurant that they say they are.

Thank you for visiting, When someone visits and then decides to rip us apart with their totally unprofessional opinions with very little idea of understanding of the industry, the amount of hard work, effort and passion that is applied and then retreats to the secrecy that this site can offer, then they are irrelevant to us, the amazing team of professionals that go out of their way 24/7 365 that are our family and on that note we are collectively thrilled that you will not be visiting again. These times are tough at the best of times and we are very fortunate to be constantly very busy/full on just about every service so we really do not need judgmental individuals crossing our threshold in order to throw vitriolic untruths at us . I'm not going to respond to any of your points as they are not worthy of response other than to dismiss them for the fabrication that they generally are. Chris Barbara and all our amazing family/team

We had our wedding reception lunch here for 18 people, which was very enjoyable; what a great decision! As this was early in Sept 20, it came during the pandemic midway between lockdown restrictions; however the Covid measures it was necessary to put in place were implemented sensitively were not intrusive and did not significantly impact on our special day. Chris, Barbara and the staff gave us pretty much the freedom to use the lounge and dining room for the afternoon. The food was excellent and all our guests commented on the quality of our meal the hotel and grounds. Together with some of our guests, we stayed overnight; all of the various rooms used were comfortable, of an excellent standard, and bespoke, very much as the boutique hotel described. Looking forward to our next visit very soon.

Sue and I stayed here for two nights for some much needed rest and unwinding, and were delighted with the hotel. The hotel is in a large and smartly decorated Victorian town house with beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, really lovely staff and, of course, an AA 2 rosette restaurant (see separate excellent review). There's a comfortable piano lounge, a very stylish bar, and well tended gardens to the side of the hotel. And its perfectly positioned just a short walk from the centre of Malvern with all that town has to offer. We did a 6 mile hill walk from the hotel on the first day (so nice just to be able to leave the car) and explored the Malvern Town Trail on the second day. We definitely plan to go back because we achieved our aim of two days rest and relaxation, and because we want to go back with friends next time to share the experience (and the restaurant). I really recommend this hotel.
