The Woodlands Caravan Park is a family run site with a friendly atmosphere. The site is situated 300 yards from the spectacular Devils Bridge Waterfalls and has beautiful views of the Welsh mountains and valleys. The site adjoins the family run farm and guests are welcome to walk on the farm lane to enjoy the fresh air and scenic views. There is a camp shop and tea room on site. This is an ideal base for birdwatching, walking, mountain biking and fishing. Sorry no pets allowed in the self catering bungalow but dogs are allowed on the camping and caravan park.

Detailed Reviews
This is a great site. Pitches are wide. The site is so clean and well presented. The toilets and showers are very clean. The shower rooms have a separate part which means your clothes don't get wet. The laundry room is a good size with washing machine , tumble dryer and fridge freezer. The wi fi password was given with a site map and it worked OK. The grass had been cut and was not left on so no carrying grass into the campervan and toilets especially as it rained the first day. Plenty of recycling bins. We'll placed drain to drive over to empty the waste. A cafe by the entrance to the site which served lovely food. Walking distance to the falls. The hafod serves lovely food. The small railway is just up from the hafod and a lovely chocolate shop which makes goodies on site. Hosts were lovely people and very helpfull. Quiet site . Would recommend a visit and will return.

This was our first excursion in a motorhome which we recently purchased. we didn't want to go too far from our home base in Pembrokeshire so being just 80 miles and just just over 2 hours away, Woodlands looked like it fitted the bill.
From the moment we pulled in we were impressed with the cleanliness and how well kept the grounds were. Lots of old farm equipment dotted round the site and made features of.
Check in was quick and straight forward with the pitch only 2 away from the shower and amenities block (which we requested) This block was very very well kept and spotlessly clean.
Fresh water is available on site to fill up with grey water and chemical toilet disposal.
The local area is so picturesque with Devils Bridge just a few minutes walk from the site.
The local Hotel and pub The Hafod Hotel serves excellent food at a reasonable price so be sure to pop in for a visit and a cheeky pint !

We had always thought of buying a campervan but thought we would first hire one to see how we got on. Woodlands was the first Caravan Park that we had stayed at and we didn't know what to expect.
We picked the site as we wanted to visit mid Wales and this site was very reasonably priced.
The site was in an ideal location with lovely views. The site had lovely little cafe , which served really nice food , it also sold a range of groceries. If you wanted to eat out there were places within a short walk.
The park had a really smart shower and toilet block. This also housed washing up facilities and a washing machine and tumble dryer which were very reasonably price.
We would definitely stay here again and I would have no hesitation in recommending this park to families , couples or friends.

We stayed here, in our caravan, for 5 nights. We loved the campsite scenic location and right on the doorstep of both the Devils Bridge walks and Vale of Rheidol Steam Railway. The later, although pricey, has some spectacular scenery. The campsite has one of the best wash room facilities we have experienced. We also liked the spacious green pitches, particular our location in the tent area for our small caravan. There are 2 good cafes nearby, one at the entrance and one at other at the Railway station. We would love to return again.

I camped in the non electric touring tent section - lots of level ground and space.
The site though quite large has a friendly welcoming feel to it.
Very helpful staff on reception, advising about local area etc - loved the location as if provides great access to walks
The star has to be the immaculate and modern toilet and shower facilities- possibly the best i have seen when camping

Excellent site with spotless facilities and friendly staff.
The toilet/shower/washing-machine building was one of the best facilities we've encountered from years of using campsites. On site cafe/shop was also a bonus. A very short walk to the pub and the three bridges at Devil's bridge.

We are seasoned campers and I have to say the facilities here were the cleanest we have ever used.
We originally booked non electric as there were no others available at the time of booking. However on arrival we were able to change to an electric pitch for night one, and a hardstanding was offered to us for night two.
The lady on reception was really helpful and accommodating.
Nearby walks from the campsite are lovely and the Devils Bridge waterfalls are beautiful.
Great location for a chilled weekend outdoors. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful campsite and fantastic facilities. The washing up area was spotless and also had a microwave, as were the showers and bathroom facilities. There was also a washing machine and dryer, We did the walks from the site which were great and had Sunday lunch in the Hafod inn, which I’d highly recommend.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Couldn’t fault anything.

What a fantastic location, with even better facilities! I’ve never seen shower/toilet facilities like this, it makes camping far more bearable, just the single figure temperatures in June to negotiate!! Great camping location though, will be back.

The touring caravan area is well spaced and the hardstanding is level and well maintained. There are nice views of the surrounding hills from the pitches and it's a good location for walking, either straight from the site or a short drive away. The wash block is excellent, seemed to be cleaned regularly and the site staff at the time our stay were friendly and helpful, responding quickly and intelligently when needed.
On the down side, the dishwashing room had no doors, so was quite cold and for me at 5'10" the sinks seemed very low. The other issue was the lack of wi-fi on the camping field - with it only being available within a small radius of the distant reception. Getting info on places to visit and weather updates was a pain when they could probably fit a signal repeater in the wash block. On the whole though, a nice site which we would be happy to use again.

Thank you for your review. We now have a wifi hot spot by the wash block but are looking into ways of extending this to reach all of the pitches. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay.

Hi there is a train from devils bridge that goes right into Aberystwyth. Its about a 15 min walk from woodlands caravan park. The train isint cheap. You can drive into Aberystwyth. Its about 12 miles. On street parking is 4 hours on the front. Hope this helps
Hi, I am afraid no open fires
I’m not sure about the WIFI as we are both on Virgin Mobile and had great signal throughout the trip.
