We recently attended a function at the hotel and were looking forward to spending a lovely evening in lovely surroundings. There were around 60 of us attending the function.Unfortunately our experience wasn't as pleasant as the surroundings!.Listed below are some of our main points of concern:- 1.Prosecco wine came to table unopened,no glasses(the waiter had to go and find suitable...

What a find! Only after booking, after reading the reviews on this site, did we realise we had dropped in a couple of years previously once for afternoon tea, as the exterior looked so nice. Well, now we know also the interior and the room(we stayed in) are equally impressive. Superb views from all ground floor day rooms (three/four of...

Everything about this hotel is perfect if you are looking to get away from it all. Although only a stones throw away from Aberystwyth it is set in beautiful countryside with stunning views from our room in the out buildings. Development is ongoing and the continued attention to detail will make it even better. The room was spacious and characterful...

We've stayed here before in one of the larger rooms which are more modern and it was a lovely stay. Unfortunately this time we went for a standard double and were housed on the top floor. I do understand they are refurbishing but £90 for a room with carpet flooring in the bathroom is rather steep (this is the first...

We only stayed for one night, a Thursday, so the hotel was very quiet, which suited us. The room was clean and the ensuite small but immaculate; there was no bath, only a shower, so check when you book if this is important to you. Lovely views from the bedroom window. We only used the restaurant for breakfast, the portions were...

What a lovely hotel. Beautiful views. Friendly and efficient staff. Large rooms which were well decorated and bathroom great. Food was delicious both evening meal and breakfast. Couldn't fault it. The views from the rooms were breathtaking and great point to explore nearby Aberystwyth and other parts of North Wales. Great for walks in the stunning countryside.

Only stayed for one night. The room was clean but the furnishings were a little dated. The service was what you'd expect, the staff were polite. The building itself is really lovely although it needs a bit of redecoration. We didn't eat at the restaurant but it seemed very busy and was obviously popular with the locals. Lots of celebrations...

One night stay but service was excellent. Lovely room in annexe with a cracking view. Breakfast was good but why do hotels not have decent bread for toast. Minor point but still important. Definitely stay again.

We checked in and instantly felt at home. We received a complementary upgrade and were shown up to our room. Room 4 was beautifully decorated and had fantastic views of the local countryside. Spotless and neat and very large we joked about having dance there was so much room. Bathroom again was of a high standard. On our first night...

We had a 3 night stay in this delightful part of Wales as a birthday treat . Although the hotel was undergoing a refurbishment we had a lovely clean, comfortable room at the back of the hotel. The views all around were magnificent. We had breakfast & dinner each day in the restaurant where we were attended by very friendly staff.
