We have just returned from spending two nights over the New Year at Cartref Guest House within the historic town walls of Caernarfon. Roger and Mary take pride in their Guest House; we stayed in a double room (room 3) at the front of the house on the street; it was very quiet I think a couple of cars each...

My wife and I booked a double room recently and at short notice. the room was spotless and the bed very comfy. The location is terrific with the free parking at the harbour and the proximity of the fabulous castle and town. The views of the setting sun across the Menai Straits whilst sipping a cold drink are equal to...

I stayed in the twin-bedded room. Pros: • Excellent location; <5-minute walk to the castle • Clean room • Breakfast was fine (the website touts it as something special, but it’s really no different from any other decent B&B’s breakfast); dining room was clean but a bit cramped • Owner was reasonably pleasant Cons: • Tiny room barely bigger than...

Well, it's almost like home. Situated two blocks from the Castle, this B&B has an ideal location in Caernarvon. It's the first one that I've been to that had a printed breakfast menu so there is more than the full Welsh breakfast. Rooms were comfortable and had WiFi. There is free parking on the quay about a minute walk and...

Mary & Roger are everything you’d want in B&B hosts – welcoming, hospitable, helpful, and friendly. The B&B is in a great location within the city walls – about a 5 minute walk to the castle, close to many restaurants and less than 10 minutes to the town centre, train and bus stations. The rooms are clean & comfortable, and...

I was much impressed by this B&B accommodation. The room was very clean and most comfortable. The breakfast was large and tasty, and the breakfast room appealing and homely. The people who run the place were pleasant and helpful in every way throughout. All in all, a most rewarding experience. I recommend it most highly and would be very glad...

Comfortable place with great hosts - Mary and Roger- with a great location. The room was inviting and had a great bathroom with tub. Truly relaxing. The breakfast was the best we had on our entire 3+ week UK trip. Guests here were international and it fun talking with others at breakfast. We were just inside the city walls -...
