We had a lovely overnight stay here. I love the fact that its a privately owned hotel, where the owner mans the reception desk and its quite obvious that the staff buy into the 'concept' of a family business. We were warmly welcomed on our Cwtch deal. Our room was an executive room on the 1st floor and was super, fantastic...

Stayed at the hotel for one nights stay and the 7 course taster menu and breakfast with the travel zoo offer. From when booking the male receptionist was extremely helpfull and friendly. Beautiful location, very friendly staff, hotel was a little tired, but our room was very spacious, with good views across the gardens and well appointed and comfortable. The brass on...

The quintessential family hotel, with superb fine dining and affordable prices - the perfect base for discovering South Wales Pros: - a beautifulbuilding in the middle of picturesque gardens, with plenty of place for kids to roam free - one feels at home immediately both in the hotel and in the restaurant. While some of the staff are clearly beginnners,...

This fine country house sits surrounded by parkland including a lake with waterfowl enjoying a small fountain. We were warmly welcomed and our room at a top corner of the property had good views over the grounds and surrounding farmland. We enjoyed afternoon tea on the lawn underneath a mature lime tree which smelt wonderful in the warm sunshine. Our...

We enjoyed a one night gourmet break to celebrate our anniversary and everything was excellent. Room 15 has been refurbished and was quiet and spacious. Charlotte, the receptionist who greeted us was friendly and also changed our duvet for sheet and blanket, served pre dinner drinks and was much in evidence later in the restaurant. Smiling and helpful throughout, as...

We stayed for one night at this lovely place and had booked the 'taster menu'. The place was well signposted, there is ample parking and a polite Receptionist booked our meal for 7.30pm. Room (number 8) was very nice with lovely view with a very comfy bed and nice large bathroom with lovely toiletries. We went to the Restaurant at...

We stayed here for the mid-week break to celebrate a wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. Our room (22) was as before, comfortable and clean but some lights needed bulbs and hinges needed oiling but the view is over fields and woodland. I've not been disturbed by the local hunt before but the barking dogs seemed very close and very...

Attended a wedding here, arrived 15 mins early, no one on reception to greet guests, staff had no idea what to do with presents. It took in excess if 15 minutes to get served bar, staff were totally ineffectual, and it got worse as more guests arrived. Food was frankly appalling, beef wellington overcooked, meat dry and tasteless, roast potatoes...
