We called in to Bryan Howel to meet some friends having previously stayed at the hotel. I'm afraid that the hotel is not good. The place hasn't changed. The location is wonderful but the facilities are old and in desperate need of change. The whole place needs a really good clean and spruce up. The bar is potentially a nice...

This is a fabulous hotel. Extremely quiet and excellent rooms. Very clean and comfortable. Lovely fresh cooked breakfast in the dining room with a view across the lawn to the hills. Sadly it was raining this time. Only disappointing part was poor wife signal.

Travelled today to stay at this hotel on arriving we were allocated our room, as we opened the door there was a terrible smell of drains, on looking further the valance on one of the beds was blood stained, windows not clean and the noise in the room above us was terrible, needless to stay we have travelled back home...

I was met with an unsmiling face at reception, very unusual for Wales. There is a beautiful bar with a log fire but it did not blaze or roar despite repeated stoking. It was cold and my finger tips were numb. They stayed that way in the dining room which was equally cold. The seafood platter looked tired as though...

The room was basic, but comfortable and clean. The hotel is in a good location just outside Llangollen and offers good views of the surrounding countryside. The bar at the hotel was very comfortable and it had a great log fire as a centrepiece. The drinks in the hotel were also reasonably priced. Would here stay again.

Lovely double room, stunning view. Food was cooked to perfection and outstanding value, Bar was in a wooden panelled room with a roaring fire, only downside they ran out of local welsh ale on our first nite. Staff friendly and helpful. Outstanding value for money and only few miles from pretty town of Llangollen and all the touristy attractions near...

We called here at 5 p.m. on a Saturday evening to maybe have a meal and book an afternoon tea for a party of about ten people. The car park had a few smart cars so there were people about!!! However, on entry the place was empty, no people, no staff. We had a wander around for about ten minutes...
