Stayed over in Llangollen and booked this place and it was perfect for us! Private secure parking, close to all the nearby bars and restaurants and the actual accommodation was excellent! Plenty of room, clean and well presented. I would definitely stay here again

We stayed at gales on sunday 12th of May for one night and what a wonderful place it was. We arrived just after midday and our room was ready we were given our key and shown to our room. We had a room at the front of the building above the wine shop, with exposed beams and bumpy walls you could...

We had a very enjoyable stay, the room was spacious and comfortable. Lots of little extras provided. We enjoyed the wine tasting and the menu was delightful and the food very tasty. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. A great experience.

Stayed one night on a flying visit to Llangollen. Nice very spacious and comfortable room. Friendly and helpful staff. The wine bar was closed on Sunday night not a problem as plenty of places to eat in town. The wine bar looked very cosy with excellent wine selection , so will have to return when it's open.

Lovely central location in Llangollen. We did not use the free parking because it was full when we arrived,So instead we used the Long stay parking just coming into town.It worked out at £5.00.The check in process was done in the wine bar over a drink.Room 5 was fab and quirky with squeaky floorboards.Nice comfy double bed and massive bathroom with...

Had 2 nights here with a Living Social deal. The hotel is quirky, room was spacious and we had everything we needed. Wine tasting gave us the chance to try some different wines and was very enjoyable. We had 1 evening meal and it was lovely. All staff were very friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back.

Staff fully knowledgeable about all produce and drinks. Wonderful atmosphere with fine foods and wines such as moules, steaks, pheasant. The menu seems limited but they strive for quality over quantity. They have their own bakery and butchery which is commendable. Well worth a visit!

I stayed for one night at Gales and was given the most gorgeous room with a lovely en-suite shower room. The room showed the age of the building, with oak beams and comparatively low ceiling. Luckily I'm only 5ft 5ins tall, so that didn't worry me one bit! There were two comfortable armchairs and a lovely interesting cupboard for clothes....

Been here several times. This is our place of choice in Llangollen. Variety of rooms. Some steep steps. A couple of the rooms are massive. Oaky and rustic. This is not s modern hotel and doesn't pretend to be one. Port in the room! The bistro is a good place to eat in the evening although the menu is not...
