We stayed at Gorphwysfa b&b for a weekend. The owner Colin was brilliant, kind and friendly. The b&b is furnished in homely but professional way. The breakfast was amazing, so much choice and all fresh local ingredients. It was so good we didn't have lunch. Fantastic value and in a fantastic setting in Betws Y Coed. I would highly recommend...

Very friendly owner willing to respond to any reasonable request and offer advice on local points of interest, places to eat etc. The rooms and en-suites are cosy but great value for the price. Very clean and tidy. The house is quite traditional so if you want modern glass and chrome go elsewhere, but we really liked it. The main...

We stayed at Gorphwysfa guest house, run by Colin (and Alan, but he isn’t very well at the moment :( ). I had emailed ahead of time to ask about the vegetarian sausages as they advertise their vegetarian breakfast. The reply said that their sausages aren’t sfv, but that they’d catered for vegans before so shouldn’t be a problem. On...

Once again Colin and Alan triumph with their warm welcome, beautifully clean and appointed rooms with little extra touches making a home from home. The breakfasts are the best ever, enormous and wonderfully presented using local produce, cooked to perfection. We'll challenge anyone to go the WHOLE four courses !!!! The whole visit can be treated as an experience This...

B&Bs have rushed to become 'boutique' in this area (and consequently raise their prices) so it was really nice to find an old-fashioned (in the good sense of the word) B&B that does what it says on the tin, and prices accordingly (and fairly). I stayed in the single room which was clean and contained everything I needed. Although the...

Built in 1820 and about a mile outside of town, this B and B is still within walking distance of Betws-y-coed. For 14 years Colin has served a Welsh breakfast that will last all day! What directions he shares to "carry on" to the next castle, parking area or attraction.

We stopped overnight here having often gone through betws-y-coed but thought it would be nice to stay. The bed and breakfast owned and run by Colin was excellent, the room was very nicely decorated , tea and coffee making facilities , and a lovely little extra and small chocolate on each of the 2 pillows. Breakfast was fantastic the best...

Spent two nights at Gorphwysfa B&B as I wanted a tranquil place to unwind. I've not been to this part of Wales for around twenty years when I climbed Snowdon with my family this time I was on my own. The B&B has a homely feel and Colin & Alan made me feel very welcome. Colin I believe was a...

Booked here last minute and so glad we did. Colin and Alan are wonderful hosts - so welcoming and friendly. We stay in Betws regularly and would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable base to explore the area. Breakfast is amazing and sets you up for the day - either homemade and locally sourced...
