With our 12 day Swiss tour cancelled unexpectedly I decided with the 20 days left before our autumn break to book 10 days in Wales with 4 of them at The Gwydyr Hotel. We had a great time, decent food and drink and great company! Thanks to Keith (Manager) Sharron (Doris) Kyle and Adam who were all very friendly and...

Arrived on Friday afternoon after booking earlier in the month. Staff on arrival were very friendly and welcoming and this was the tone for the rest of the weekend. Decided to have our evening meal at the hotel and were glad we did. The food was delicious and plentiful. As there was a coal burning fire in the bar we...

This place is amazing such a nice hotel I can't recommend it enough! My partner and I decided to go for a weekend away to get away from everything. Saw this and thought it was nice and pet friendly as we have a dog. Also in the middle of the village so we could walk everywhere. Got there and staff...

Clean, comfortable room, very pleasant staff and an ideal situation for a base. The breakfasts were very good and the evening meals were excellent and very good value! I would not hesitate to highly recommend the Gwydyr Hotel to family and friends.

Great location in a very nice Village, good bar and food facilities and the room was of a good size and clean. As I'm a football fan I like the big screen but there were other quieter places to sit if that isn't what you want.

First impression was ok. Not luxury bust clean. Mega screen in biggest bar showing sports all night. Great . If that what you want. We don't. We ate in the hotel and I'm afraid there is absolutely no excuse for what we were served. It claimed to be calamari and prawn. Both dishes were 3 big colds of breadcrumbs deep...

Stayed for 1 night as part of a group of 10 on a walking trip. We had a lovely stay, the food was excellent and good portions. The breakfast was superb and the staff made sure toast, coffee and tea were kept topped up. The rooms are lovely and have complementary tea, coffee and biscuits. The staff and owners did...

Live locally and came here with family for dinner. I enjoyed the fish pie whilst others enjoyed their meat pies. Generous portions, with fresh veg and great chips. All finished off with a glass of merlot. Perfect, thank you.

Stayed just the one night in this hotel. The owners are planning more renovations but have done a nice job on the rooms done to date. Nice quite room, well fitted out and good shower. Had a really nice evening meal in the bar. Good choice and at first I thought the price was a little expensive but quickly changed...
