Lodges were great, breakfast good. Bar also good. Maximum 10 min walk into village. Did not have dinner in restaurant so cant comment. Would definitely recommend for a short break. Ty Gwyn hotel nearby is a fantastic place. Book early though to avoid disappointment.

Having visited 10 years ago, I knew this hotel was in the right location for a weekend of activity in Wales. Extremely clean, decor and furnishings first class throughout. Looks as though there has been some investment in refurbishment recently. The leisure area is a welcome bonus after a busy day. Friendly, helpful staff and great food too.

We stayed midweek at the beginning of March. We were looking forward to trying out the pool and sauna after some long walks in the surrounding areas. We really enjoyed the village and the area. We ate in the dining room and also had a bar meal on one evening. The menu is the same in the bar and the...

We stayed as a big family group over New Years and had a really wonderful time. For such a small hotel the staff were hugely professional, let us make lots of changes, bought everything we needed for the baby and went out of their way to make sure we had a comfortable stay. The gala dinner was really good fun,...

Lodge room did not sound an encouraging description. How wrong could l be. Big, comfy, clean and well equipped. Parking outside front door and delightful veranda at back to enjoy outdoor environment. Lovely pool . Bar/dining room large and bright and evenings were spent enjoying lovely meals. Menu included specials and therefore our desire to explore other establishments in the...

Stayed here for a one night break recently. Lovely location, swimming pool and sauna within the grounds. Room furniture abit dated yet clean and tidy when we arrived. Staff friendly and efficient. The food in the restaurant was tasty, although attention needed at breakfast, such as serving a fresh fruit selection (instead of prunes or grapefruit) and the full english...

We had stayed before at the Waterloo and wanted to stay again. On arrival we where greeted by Katie the receptionist who made us feel welcome and throughout our stay and was always asking if everything was alright and could she help us in anyway. It felt like we where having personal service. The hotel was 1st class the staff...

Really enjoyed an evening and night at the Waterloo Hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was in the annex and was clean and tidy and in good condition. Enjoyed using the pool, sauna and steam room too after a rainy walk. Dinner was included in our deal and was very impressive. Particularly enjoyed the mussels.
