Lovely and friendly owners. There is space inside to dry your kit. Nice and clean. Good selection of breakfast included, cooked and continental. Beware the drive is steep and you might want to make sure both gates are open to get inside the car parking area as it's tight with only one gate open. You get keys to let yourself...

We were a bit concerned at first, as there were only a few pictures of the place here... But reviews were lovely so we had to give it a go... And we don't regret. Me and my partner really like it. Host are lovely, rooms have everything we need, walking distance from the village, superb view, and great value for...

3 of us stayed in this B&B in Betws-y-Coed for 3 nights in a triple and a single room. Sue and Dave our hosts couldn't have been any more helpful with advice on where to go to visit and where to eat out. The B&B was very comfortable. The triple room had a double and a single bed and the...

I stayed here during a weekend stay with my boyfriend in Betws-y-Coed. On arrival, Sue was very friendly and welcoming, and on noticing how tall my boyfriend was(6'6"), upgraded us to a room with a bigger bed at no extra cost. This was so kind and very much appreciated. There were plenty of information leaflets in the bedroom along with...

Excellent accommodation for the cost. Give the sometimes overpriced places in Betws a miss and stay here. Just a lovely 10 minute walk into Betws. Fantastic value for money. Lovely host and fabulously clean room.

Stayed for 2 nights after trawling for somewhere to stay and cant fault anything, was there for a walk up Snowdon and found this B & B spotlessly clean. Sue couldn't do enough for us and breakfast was superb. 5-10 min walk away from Betws-y-coed and view fantastic. Recommended and look forward to going back.

Lovely and clean B&B at a stone's throw of Betws-y-Coed train station and town centre. Delicious breakfast is served by Sue and Dave, who will also give you the best tips of places to visit. We are very satisfied with our five-day stay and will hopefully be back. Many thanks to Sue and Dave.

Initially we tried securing a (fairly last-minute) booking closer to the centre of Betws-y-coed. However the rooms were all full so we had to move further out. For which I am thankful. We arrived in Betws-Y-Coed on Saturday morning and went walking along one of the brilliant walks from the town centre (Llyn Parc). On our return we drove up...

Handy guest house, a short pleasant walk from the centre of the village. The room was large and comfortable and the breakfast very good. There was off street parking. The owners seemed to have a good knowledge of attractions and weather conditions in the local area. Handy for exploring Snowdon.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Accommodation in peaceful Snowdonia setting. Maes y Fedwen is a unique split level house which was built in 1973 from plans drawn by Clough Williams Ellis, the architect who was responsible for the design and building of Portmeirion. The house is built on an elevated site approached by a short drive which leads to a large private tarmaced car park. Large picture windows offer panoramic views across the village of Betws y Coed and westward towards the Carneddau mountains. Terraced gardens surround the house and a lower garden has a small orchard and is home for the bee hives which provide honey for breakfast. Although only 5-10 minutes walk away from the centre of Betws y Coed, Maes y Fedwen offers its guests a quiet haven in a friendly and homey environment. ... more   less

“Not sure if the view is the same from all rooms. The double on your left as you go in the front door is unbeatable. Ask for this one!”
