The standard rooms are overpriced at £125 per night, for what is essentially a very basic room with dated decor. Breakfast was good and staff are lovely, the location is great, but sorry it's still not worth the money.

We passed the hotel and decided to book for one night in a standard double room - we were not disappointed at all. The staff were very friendly, the food was excellent (both dinner and breakfast) and the building itself is full of character.

Visited the restaurant for a meal with a large group. Food was fantastic and very attentive service. As a vegetarian they had gone the extra mile to ensure I was well catered for. Beautiful surroundings.

After proposing to my lovely lady by the river, I booked a table in the acclaimed Llugwy River Restaurant - in the Royal Oak Hotel (awarded its first AA rosette in 2003 and has developed a reputation for using the finest of local Welsh ingredients.) The meal was faultless and so was the service. The flavours and taste of the...

We went in a group of 4, (one of which was disabled) went here whilst we were on a short respite, and it's a lovely pub/restaurant with plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor. There were disabled friendly access, and also we went with 2 dogs accompanying us, who were welcome. The atmosphere (considering it was a busy Saturday afternoon)...
