Stayed here last year and as a rule don't like going back to places as they always disappoint, here however is that exception, beautiful setting, Martin at reception is a gem, always friendly and genuine, we had a different room that was gorgeous, warm and had stunning views over the river that went from sedate to wild due to the...

A nice friendly hotel, where the staff couldn't do enough for us. Our room was very clean and very warm. A good selection of teas and coffee in the room and wifi was available after getting a passcode from reception. We had a meal in the restaurant in the evening which was good, however our main could have been hotter...

My partner and I stayed here for my birthday- he had initially booked room 7 (which was beautiful and had a spectacular view of the river) however, when he mentioned there was a room with a hot tub(room 2), I convinced him to go and see if we could upgrade! Martin could not have been more accommodating and switched our...

Stayed for 2 nights in late October and as it was an anniversary treat we went for the room with the hot tub on the balcony. The location of the hotel is brilliant, close to Betws-Y-Coed and the main road, but set off on its own up the valley. It feels isolated despite its proximity to the A5. There was...

As many other reviewers have already stated this is a hotel not to be missed if you coming to this area, perfectly situated for exploring Snowdonia and a wonderful setting on the river which is worth the price on its own. The breakfast is truly awesome, I only managed half a welsh breakfast each morning, but it is not the...

This was our third visit of the year and we've been coming for over four years now. As always everything was first class from the friendly helpful staff, well appointed and spotless room to the excellent food with a breakfast that keeps you going all day. Wonderful location and we can't wait to come back next year.

Stayed here one night before Snowdon horseshoe. The room was large, pleasantly furnished with a big bathroom. We had intended to eat here, but were put off by poor reviews. Breakfast was good though with plenty of choice and good service.

This was a birthday treat for afternoon tea (Red Letter). It was just fabulous - homemade cakes, scones, bread - raspberries grown in the hotel's garden - plenty top ups of tea and coffee. It was a lovely day so we sat out on the terrace overlooking the hotel garden and the river. Staff were so attentive, nothing was too...
