The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is excellent. The parking is tight, but a useful addition. All in all a comfortable B&B, which is good value for money. A useful base for touring the Brecon Beacons.

Great 2 nights stay at the Borderers Guest House. Really quirky building, with lots of original features. Clean, comfortable and relaxing, great place to stay for exploring Brecon Beacons. Jan the owner was extremely friendly and made you feel very welcome, she recommended a couple of things in the area to do which turned out to be fab. Breakfast was...

Thank you so much for your very kind review Amanda! We're so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. But, I must point out that Kim, who did your breakfast service, is not Jan's grandaughter! Our Grandaughter is 15 and lives in London! Kim is just a great asset to our business. No relation, just a good friend! Thank you...

A great location to explore the old town and walkways, situated close to the theatres, canals and town centre. A friendly and warm welcome from all staff, rooms were clean and well equipt with all basic provisions such as kettle tv hairdryer shower and seating area. The room was warm on arrival as a nice bonus. Parking is limited and...

A good value B&B near the town centre with off road parking accessed through a challenging but characterful entrance. An excellent location for either walking, running, or even tabbing in the Brecon Beacons. The rooms were fine, with plenty of hot water and good central heating. The landlady was very welcoming and the breakfast was first class. I would recommend...

The quaint feeling given to this B&B by its decor and the building it's in is extremely appealing, and my friends and I had a great stay here. Some of the rooms had en suite bathrooms with a shower, some had to use shared bathrooms with a bath but all were beautiful, clean, comfortable and more than welcome after a...

Centrally located in Brecon with off street parking (albeit a somewhat compact car park!)..The rooms were very comfortable and clean and the welcome very friendly. The breakfast was first class and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Best of all, it was great value for money, we enjoyed Brecon very much, it's a lovely and friendly place and we will definitely...

Stayed for only the one night but next time in Brecon we will definately stay longer. The Borderers is a quirky building with up and down floors, low ceilings and all that you would expect of a property well over 300 hundred years old. The landlady herself was very friendly. The property, we were informed, is up for sale. It...

Just returned from a 2 night stay, we had the cabin at the rear of the property, so was very quiet. The room was clean and well equipped with sofa, tv tea/coffee making facilities, toiletries were also provided, double bed with clean fresh linen and adequate towels. The breakfast in the morning was lovely , served by very pleasant young...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A 17th century coaching Inn - 1645, to be precise, along with all the old bits still intact. We are constantly striving to keep everything up to date, with the addition of WiFi etc. The floors still creak, and we get reported sightings of ghosts.(We have never had such an experience in our 15 years here! Dare we suggest that it may just be the proximity of too many pubs?)Enjoy! ... more   less
