A Family run Guest House. Car parking in the front or back of the Guest House and Wi Fi. 5 minutes walk to Town Centre. Clean, nice Welsh breakfast cooked to order. Tea and Coffee in room and a biscuit.

The pictures can tell you somewhat about the dirt and shabbyness, but cannot make you feel that smell!! I could not fall asleep because of the pungent smell you could not even ventilate out, because it came from the carpet. Thick dust and greasy spots everywhere, dirty tables and glasses so grimy they sticked when touched. Breadcrumbs on the glass...

Other reviewers have accurately captured the physical essence of the Tremains Guest House; first impressions are not that favourable, as from the outside it looks drab and unpromising, and upon entering the premises the dated and somewhat tired decor is not inspiring. The room in which I stayed was very nice, however - clean, and well appointed, with all the...

Staying at this guesthouse was excellent. Although the decor is a little dated my overall experience was excellent. The rooms are so clean and attention to detail is excellent. The owner is warm and welcoming and will go above and beyond to make you feel at home. The breakfast in the morning is delicious and the price to stay is...

Although the hotel is a little dated and you have to pay by cash, no cards, the welcome is great and you are left well alone to come and go as you please. The hotel is within walking distance of the train station so you can just jump the train straight into Cardiff. Breakfast good, the hotel is clean and...

Our trip to South Wales was unplanned but we accidentally chanced upon this accommodation since most of our regular accommodation options were fully booked, this being Easter Holiday weekend. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise especially after the nightmare we had the previous night at Swansea. It is one of the old Welsh houses converted into a guest...

Again, I was looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful to stay a night between two days work in Bridgend. Very good price, including wonderful breakfast with a wonderful choice. The furniture is a quite dated, buts all very clean and very tidy. Doesn't take credit or debit card, but didn't matter too much, as ATM card machine less than 100...

I was looking for somewhere cheap and central to stay for a few nights whilst working. Tremains fit the bill perfectly! It's not flash by any means, but it's comfortable, clean and the owners are lovely. There's free wi-fi and a freeview/dvd player in the room and a huge choice of breakfast foods cooked on demand. Would stay there again!
