The Premier Inn Bridgend Central Hotel is well-regarded for its strategic location near shopping outlets and its accessibility from the M4, making it a convenient choice for many guests. While opinions on value vary, with some guests criticizing extra charges and Wi-Fi issues, the hotel's cleanliness and modern amenities frequently receive positive remarks. The freshly cooked breakfast and the warm Welsh Welcome contribute to the inviting atmosphere, though some visitors have noted room noise. Overall, the staff's friendliness and helpfulness stand out to travelers.

Been here before 2yrs ago but hotel has had a mini makeover. Place was looking lovely on arrival and newly refurbed rooms were quality. All staff during our stay were very nice. Very handy as a family to be so close to Shopping Village, Bus stops and cinema eating complex.. I’ll be back

We stayed one night en route to Porthcawl, on arrival the lady on reception was friendly and welcoming, our room was ideal and great value for the price.
Unfortunately my friend fell (away from the premises) and over night her ankle became swollen, the help we received (without request) was second to none! We were having breakfast and Helena was serving us, she asked what had happened and if ice would help, considering the already demanding pressure that all the breakfast staff were dealing with, now wearing masks, providing table service and adhering to covid restrictions which have clearly increased their workload, this was so thoughtful. She came back with ice in a tea towel for my friend to put on her ankle, and got a bandage from first aid for me to strap my friends ankle, another lady on reception also helped to procure the bandage. The whole team on duty went above and beyond, Premier Inn should be so proud of this amazing, caring and very capable team.
We will definitely stay again, and highly recommend that every does especially to meet Helena!!
Thank you.

Truly enjoyed my stay this month, but one small issue. I needed a linen change and the guidelines in the brochure simply state that I should inform reception. When I did this, I was informed that it could not be done that day as the housekeepers would be leaving by 1:20 pm and I should have requested it earlier. Since I had already stripped the bed, the offer of clean linen left outside my door was made. On my way back to the room, I came across some housekeepers and they upon hearing the situation, took my room number stating their willingness to do the linen change, but yet I returned in the evening to find the linen outside my room. I then had to sort my linen change out and have to say that this was not ideal and put a damper on my experience since having my room cleaned and bed made was a luxury I paid for. For the future, might I suggest you advise on cut off times for requesting room cleans and linen changes in your brochure as you do with the restaurant.

After a few disappointing Premier Inn stays, I telephoned prior to booking here. We needed a place to stay overnight to break up a long journey home. Having two family members with chronic asthma, we needed a clean, damp free room to stay, and unfortunately our recent Premier Inn stays found tired, dusty and damp rooms. The receptionist when we called advised ringing this hotel prior to arrival to request a ground floor room which we did. We had two rooms, one over looking the front and one at the back. I'd request the back room in future, the front is overlooking the carpark.

The rooms were clean. You do need to ask for more towels. This seem to be the case across all Premier inns. Despite booking 2 people in a room you'll only find 1 set of towels in a room. The rooms were clean and the back room quiet. Signs said masks were required, but this was not enforced. We saw many people enter the hotel not wearing masks.

Staff were lovely. A display of books were on the counter for guests to take, with a small donation to charity. We didn't eat here and very few guests did. Maybe due to current restrictions and having the choice of many food places across the road.

Stayed for 2 nights. Disappointed to have to ask for extra tea and coffee and pillows as was only allocated 1 tea bag, 1 coffee and 1 pillow each!?
But these were quickly sorted.
The stay was as good as it gets for a premier inn.
Staff were really lovely. Sharon, breakfast host is super special. She greets everyone like an old friend.
Whilst we completely understand that COVID has changed many things it was disappointing that our cups had not been changed for fresh and the bin not emptied.
We were not told breakfast was restricted which meant we booked for 2 breakfasts both days and was disappointed with the choice.
We would have gone elsewhere for breakfast.
But this is our 2nd visit and yes would stay again.

What a fantastic hotel this is, everything you would expect from a premier inn, clean good quality rooms at a decent price but with the added extra of every member of staff I came into contact with was not only very professional but some of the friendliness I have come across.

Trying keep guests safe in the most trying of times and still give a first class service you could not fault the staff of this hotel.

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough for the way I was treated by the reception staff and in the morning at breakfast.

I stayed four nights on business and had a perfect welcome and one of the best cooked breakfast I have had at any of the hotels I have stayed.

Big thumbs up to all concerned you should be very proud and keep up the excellent work.

This was purely on the room, bathroom had a stale urine smell, think from a previous leaking toilet that has been fixed, but flooring is the same. Also were in a room with an adjoining door to the next room, so could hear them talking and laughing. Breakfast wasn't unlimited really as limited to 45 mins, and table service, so as the staff were v busy, we felt we didn't want to impose further on them by asking for more items. Having said all of that, the staff here are amazing, so friendly and efficient, hard workers, doing a great job, felt very covid secure. Room was very very clean, just that urine smell was a let down.

I stayed at the Premier Inn Bridgend Central for 3 nights last August for business and enjoyed my stay so much that I requested to stay there again when working in the area this time. Well it would seem that the COVID regime has resulted in a real deterioration in the cleanliness of this hotel. I was initially given a room that was grubby, stains on the walls that looked like food had been thrown at the walls and dripped down then left to dry. To top it all the bedsheet was torn. I mentioned it to reception but as the hotel was full there was nothing that could be done. The following day I was given another room that was better however there was a very strong smell of stale urine in the bathroom which did not go away. By this time I couldn’t be bothered to complain again as I had a busy work schedule to get on with. I did mention it on check out though. As I have read another review that mentions the same issue (different room) it sounds like the bathrooms could do with a really good scrub, probably a knock on effect of no daily cleaning because of COVID. On a positive note I have to say that the staff are brilliant. Sarah the manager dealt with the room issue extremely professionally. Sharon at breakfast is just great, always so cheerful and works really hard. It’s a shame that the standard of the rooms do not live up to the effort put in by the front of house staff who genuinely seem to want the customers to be happy.

We often stay at either Pencoed or Bridgend Central as family live local and that is why I visit. The rooms are good, the food is nothing special and the staff are usually very friendly. However I have noted on the last few visits to both an annoying trend. Firstly, the beds. Sagging in the middle. The last two occasions I visited Bridgend Central the valleys weren't just outside they were inside as well. The beds had a noticeable slope to the middle and made for an awkward night's sleep. Secondly parking. This issue was raised with Pencoed but they didn't do much. The disabled bays are for those with blue badges and not for skips, staff or convenience. Check the bays regularly and as you record the registration numbers, ask the non blue badge holder or staff member to move their car. Not difficult.

We stayed at this Premier Inn without knowing much about it other than it was on the outskirts of Cardiff.
The roundabout getting to the hotel was tricky but on arrival we got a warm welcome from Tia, rooms were clean and the hotel is well placed right next to the designer outlet shops, which includes a food hall and a Sainsburys next door.
We didnt eat at the Harvester next door, it was very popular with locals so bookings are needed. They do have a breakfast room in the hotel and the breakfast was tasty, cooked fresh to order and we received 5 star service from the ladies cooking and serving with a smile. Helena and Sadie served us. Amanda on reception was so friendly and gave us lots of advice on getting a train into Cardiff so easy and cheap after 9.30am, So in all a fantastic stay thankyou.
