This hotel has a quick, easy self-check-in service, although this did not prevent the extremely welcoming member of reception staff from offering some friendly advice. We then proceeded to our rooms. We had upgraded to Club Class, and our room was quite a distance from Reception, through a maze of winding corridors (we expected to encounter Theseus and/or the Minotaur...

"A cheap and nasty building"** in which the hotel and spa try very hard to offer good customer service at a very fair price. (In a better building it could be "excellent"). ** Ceilings too low, dreadful ventilation in crowded public areas, noisy because of poor and inadequate ceiling and floor finishes - difficult to communicate with friends - spoils...

The hotel itself is ok. The room was clean and the bed comfy but the food is just awful and pricey. The breakfast was the worst with the cheapest ingredients, very greasy-spoon like swilling in oil (very unhealthy, tasteless, rubbery), the cups were old and dirty, as was the cutlery - unappealing to eat/drink from, and the tea/coffee (we had...

Great stay would recommend this hotel for a lovely stay in Cardiff close to the city and easy to find once you come off the m4. Club room was great and spacious and room service was also of excellent quality!

bar food awful, toilet broken and glued back together (not very well either) otherwise clean. 2 Tea bags per room is not exactly generous. Staff friendly and helpful - I didn't bother with reporting the toilet as they obviously knew

Myself and my boyfriend won a 2 night bed and breakfast stay at the Cardiff village hotel, with dinner on the first night in the Verve restaurant. We arrived at the hotel on Wednesday 18th January and were greeted by a very friendly member of staff who helped us get checked in. We then went to our room where we...

I stayed at this hotel for one night as I had been looking to stay somewhere for leisure and where I could just relax. By and large it was a fairly decent stay. It has some great amenities, a pub, a restaurant and a coffee shop and free wi-fi in the bedrooms. Everything was clean and tidy and there was...

Nice hotel with nice facilities. Little bit out of the way for central Cardiff but great location for business in the area. This hotel is always busy but the service is always quick. Paid £20 per night for the upgraded rooms after being given a twin instead of double. Difference in rooms is worth the extra money.

We chose this hotel as we got married there 13 years ago and the January offer of Bed and breakfast with a club room, for only £40 was far to good to miss out on. The room was fantastic and we will always pay for a club room in future. The Sky TV, tassimo machine and Espa products all made...
