Lincoln House was a real find and we were comfortable and enjoyed the good and clean facilities. The staff are all very friendly and there is room to relax if you need. The bedrooms have two chairs, which not always the case. The rooms are generous sizes. If you can't cope with stairs then sadly there is no lift but...

Stayed in the hotel for 1 night while attending a tae kwon do tournament at the university and it definitely deserves its top ranking. The house itself is beautiful with lots of original features. A large car park is situated at the rear of the hotel but on street parking is also available. Friendly check in staff and info on...

I can't fault the hotel, service and breakfast first rate. I thought we were closer to Cardiff city centre than we were, not in walking distance for me, my fault I should have done my homework better! If you are of limited mobility I suggest a city centre hotel may suit you better.

Great family run hotel where nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are good and very clean, excellent shower and a proper Welsh breakfast to complete our stay. Night barman was a hoot, too! Recommend wholeheartedly. Only disappointment was no lift to get to the rooms. Didn't impact on our stay and won't effect our review.

We spent one night at the Lincoln House Hotel on Cathedral Road and were impressed from start to finish. We booked it after seeing the #1 rating on Tripadvisor and for the fact that we prefer independent hotels to big chain ones. This hotel lived up to all our expectations... Friendly efficient service, beautiful bedroom with lovely comfortable bed and...

Lovely Victorian building with many original features, this hotel was very restful to stay in. Just off the busy road in to Cardiff centre it is very convenient as it is a 10/15 min walk to the castle and other tourist attractions. There is a large car park as well as parking on the street. Our room was large and...

Chose this on way down. Would always rather stay in an independent hotel. We were not disappointed. We were made to feel so welcome. Only had one night there. Breakfast included in price of room was outstanding. Thank you to all the team.

I can understand why this hotel has such great reviews. It is immaculate inside and outside. There is parking to the rear for about 10 cars. It is a 10-15 minute pleasant walk to the centre of Cardiff. The room was spotless, the staff extremely pleasant and friendly. A proper Welsh welcome. The breakfast was better than most 5 star hotels.

What a refreshing change from the chain hotels I usually stay in when I'm in Cardiff. Quiet but convenient to all local amenities, well-appointed rooms, friendly, accommodating staff, and fantastic freshly-cooked breakfast. Highly recommended.
