The staff at Roath were extreamly polite and helpful. The hotel and room were very clean. There is plenty of parking to the front and side of the hotel and was free, always a bonus! The breakfast was served at the David Lloyd Centre next door joined by a link corridor. Managed to get £35 deal, superb value.

Stayed overnight here in order to be fresh for the Cardiff University Open day. We found that Premier Inn Cardiff Roath was excellent value for money as, at £35 for a triple room, it was £20 cheaper than the Premier Inn 3 miles (15 mins during Friday morning rush-hour) away in Cardiff that was obviously closer to the University. Comfortable,...

Yes it looks like a 1970's soviet block hotel and yes it's a pain to find but this is a really good hotel. Reasonably priced, pleasant staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds and quiet at night. What more could you want? The breakfast is very good, served in the tennis club next door and we didn't experience any delays in service...

Don't be put off by the concrete exterior, this is a very clean and welcoming Premier Inn. It is located in a quiet corner of an industrial estate with secure parking (the gate has a security barrier). There are plenty of amenities close by, including supermarkets (Morrisons and Lidl), places to eat (Frankie & Bennys, McDonalds) and other large shops....

This hotel is great for a quick visit, it's clean, the beds are comfortable and the breakfast is nice with a wide choice. They serve food in the evening, all bar food, which is nice. The reception staff are very courteous also.

Is it just me or do Premier Inn have exceptionally friendly and helpful staff? I've stayed at a few over the past year and have always been struck by the friendliness of reception staff. Roath, Cardiff was no exception (Lacey and Martina were especially helpful). We stayed for 5 nights in August 2015 with 3 young children (one in a...

When we finally found it we were a bit put off by the location. However, when we came into the hotel we were met with a friendly face and very helpful receptionist. Big shout out to Lacey who was full of knowledge and saved us a small fortune by advising us to catch the bus into the city centre for...

Second time in a Premier Inn in Cardiff and although this one is on an industrial estate, once you're in the grounds of the David Lloyd tennis centre, you wouldn't know it. The traffic noise from the motorway is minimal and can't be heard at all with the windows shut. Once again, the rooms were modern, clean and spacious with...
