Stayed over for a night while working in Newport. Tidy motel style hotel next to a pub. Had a good evening meal in the pub and a decent pint. The rooms at the back of the hotel back onto fields so had a quiet night in the huge bed. My TV was playing up but they are being replaced.

If you are looking for inexpensive but clean and comfortable enough this will suit. It's basic but comfortable bed and clean rooms and bathrooms. Breakfast in the pub next door is plentiful and good quality traditional English breakfast.

Overall, although basic the room was good, clean, but a little dated. The corridors and reception was also basic and a little dated. In saying this I would return as the price was not too bad for what you got.

This must be the most inaptly named chain of hotels ever judging by our experience, since we had anything but a good night!!! In general, the place looked un-kept. In particular, trying to sleep on the mattress was like trying to sleep on an array of unconnected old springs which were desperately trying to escape the bounds of the mattress...

Hard mattress most uncomfortable, we both had back ache all the day after our stay, just glad we only stayed one night. Had a meal in pub attached was awful. No night staff so couldn't report leak till morning when we were leaving, staff said...

Good value for the location. A really comfortable bed and pleasant sized room, good tv and Wi-Fi reception. The very friendly locals made our stay even more enjoyable. Great night with live music on a Friday.

A few things I could mention but not worth it, to me its all about the cleanliness---which was good---the staff---which were very helpful and friendly--and the food next door----VERY good and again friendly bar staff.

Stayed here for a night before a conference at Celtic manor. Had a meal in the bar which was good value. Room was basic but very clean with a huge comfy bed. I must have been at the back as there was no noise whatsoever. Breakfast was good quality and the waiter was top notch. Only annoyance was they had...
