Met a friend at the Celtic Manor at lunch time today for a catch up. Decided to lunch in Merlin's Bar. Service was great, staff attentive and food fine. However the state of the restrooms was deplorable for any hotel, much less one that regards itself as the Jewel in the Crown. Whilst I realise that it is half term...

We have been using the Celtic for over 10 years using the Sunday rollover and don't think we will bother again. given a room on the tenth floor it looked very tired with chipped furnishings desperately in need of refurbishment had dinner at Cen restaurant which was very nice at checkout we were going to mention our disappointment with our...

Stayed Saturday and Sunday night after fabulous visit to WNO . Stayed here several times on business but the hotel was not geared up for the number of guests including many families this weekend. Long queues for check in and our room was not available at the guaranteed 4pm time so we were switched to another room. This had a...

We parked in complimentary parking and immediately got a shuttle bus to the resort, we then managed to get an early check in so dropped off our luggage and went to the health centre which was great, sauna jacuzzi and lovely swimming pool. We had an amazing meal at the grill restaurant where we had the best steak and ribs...

Arrived during one night over February half term. No robes or slippers in room. Couldn't get into the pool due to it being full. 2 hours to have meal in the Grill. Breakfast queues were long, food not being replenished quickly enough for guests. 3rd and last visit for me.

My mother is very disabled with MS. We were recommended by a friend Celtic Manor lodges as an easy get away as they supposinglly have fantastic "disabled" lodges. The reservations department took ages to come back with what we see very easy inquiries if you claim to offer an accessible lodge!!! Quite the opposite- they do not offer fully disabled...

Stayed at the Celtic Manor for business travel. Very nice property. The staff was always pleasant and polite......and the room was very nice. I do believe 21.5 pounds for breakfast is a bit insane for just a run of the mill buffet experience.

Stayed here overnight with my daughter as part of her 18th birthday present. Check in was smooth, however our room was very disappointing. A deluxe refurbished twin room on the 7th floor. The view would have been lovely if the windows were not so filthy we could hardly see out of them. The cover on one of the twin beds...

We stayed for 2 nights / 3 days after responding to a promotional email for Half Term breaks with Kids. The selling point was the Kids activities which we thought would be ideal for our two who are 3 and 8 years old. We booked the half board option with Breakfast and Dinner included. We chose the Olive Garden which...

We've stayed here three times now, and the last time represented a significant deterioration in the experience. Totally agree with other comments re waiting for lifts- not at all 5 star! Paid for upgrade room- again agree with other comments re limited availability. Room was refurbished, but smaller than previously. Also interconnecting door provided no sound proofing from conversations next...
