Stayed here in October 2016 with a friend on a Golf Break. On arrival parking wasn't a problem, receptionist was informative and knowledgeable but body language was poor. Room was excellently equipped and had everything we needed. Room was very clean, two single beds, very comfortable with a large modern bathroom. We went into Newport for dinner but had some...

We were given a room (110) which is directly opposite a fire-door that leads from the Manor House to the rest of the Celtic Manor Resort (in fact - the main thoroughfare. So if you are after a good night's sleep, avoid room 110 completely, as all you will hear is people talking / shouting and a fire-door slamming until...

Receptionist disinterested, mumbled some directions and went back to playing on his computer!! Room was huge, clean and tidy with a big well appointed bathroom. Shower looked lovely but water pressure was rubbish, Warm but feeble! Be warned this place is huge, more of a maze with really bad signs, very easy to get lost! Breakfast was in main hotel,...

Spent 1 relaxing night in the old manor house, used the pool and jacuzzie everything great. Went out to eat though but breakfast next morning was good. Staff again proved they are one of the best assets of this hotel Merry Christmas

Visited Celtic Manor in November for a seminar and chose to stay at the Manor House. The room was spacious, and well appointed, with a very comfortable bed. Very quiet location. The Manor House is linked to the main resort hotel but the layout is a true maze - very complicated and easy to get lost. Breakfast was in the...

We stayed here for one night on route to West Wales. Had often passed the hotel on the M4 and saw a deal on Booking.com so decided to give it a go. The room was okay but looked like it needed a good clean (particularly the replacement toilet roll stack in the bathroom!). Bed was hard but OK for one...

Stayed 2 nights in the Manor House. Most odd shaped room and dull outlook onto the roofs and the bathroom needing a major overhaul . Breakfast is only served in the Manor House at weekends, other times in the Olive Tree in the Resort. Manor House breakfast was sufficient but everyone seemed to have to ask individually for a warm...

It's a tired old place, and that's the modern part. Any place can get something wrong, no matter how good they are. It's how they respond to it that marks the good ones and this place really failed to make me feel anything but unimportant. I would not give them a penny of my money again. Try some of the...

After spending a generous amount of money for my mother for her birthday, i expected her day to be one of celebration, the Manor staff had an attitude that was far from exemplary, their levels of customer service need a lesson from that of the Ratfters Restaurant whose manager, Martin, was extremely attentive. As to the room, the bathroom fell...

Beautiful setting to celebrate my mother-in-laws special Birthday. Lovely rooms, good atmosphere and pleasant staff. The only thing to let the stay down was the smell of drains on the morning of our departure. Would have definitely given 5 stars if it wasn't for that.
