The room was good and the staff were lovely from the cleaners, bar staff, spa staff and receptionist. However I arrived at lunchtime on Saturday and left at 10.30 on Sunday and both times there was only one person on reception with very long queues.

Having stayed at the Celtic Manor on numerous occasions, we decided to treat ourselves to a new year break. On NYE we ate in the Olive Tree restaurant. Lots of food had run out and the staff weren't keeping up with what needed replenishing. We had to wait nearly ten minutes for potatoes - which meant that the rest of...

Had afternoon which was nice but very over priced. The sandwiches were served on standard white bread and were a little dry, all cakes a little too sweet. The Manor interior very tired, carpet coming up.

Myself & my husband stayed for 1 night for my 60th as a treat. The room on the 10th floor was small and the arms on the chairs were threadbare the wallpaper was peeling away as well. The food at the Grill was okay but nothing special but we did have a complimentary glass of Prosecco and a plate with...

I stayed here during my business trip to Newport. I found it was very relaxing with all leisure facilities. The room was very clean and tidy. The food at the buffet restaurant was ok but overpriced. The choice of food at breakfast was good. The view of golf course from my room was very nice.

We arranged to meet for afternoon tea and I was to pay for a friend as a Christmas gift. The tea was very poor. The sandwiches were in white heavily processed bread with little filling. The cakes were tired and looked as if they were making a third appearance. The tea was slow making its arrival. The price was astronomical...

My partner and I booked a one night stay at the Manor House hotel Celtic manor resort. The issues started on arrival we were told we could not check in until after 4pm. So we thought we would enjoy a drink and a bite to eat in one of the two bars at the Manor House. We were told by...

Fresh sandwiches home made cakes and a choice of tea or coffee . Later on we had our dinner in the olive tree and garden room also which was a buffet style...

Hotel is quaint and old fashioned. Christmas decorations were in keeping with the surroundings. Hotel rooms were modern, clean with huge bed. Rooms were very warm. Access to the bedrooms is via a double flight of stairs before you can then use the lift to floors 2,3 and 4. There is apparently access via the main hotel but you have...
