The service and staff were excellent and we could not find fault. Rooms were OK, we were there on the hottest week this year so felt like we really needed air conditioning to get a good night sleep but it was 32 degrees. During normal times I think it would have been fine. Definitely stay again.

The hotel, which is on a business park, has the outward appearance of a motel, although it is better inside. It has a decent lounge bar and an outdoor garden. Breakfast was good, although I was concerned about the self service cold items during the covid pandemic. Table service would have been safer. The downside of the hotel was the room. The bathroom was tired with cracks in the sink and WC. The temperature was so much hotter than elsewhere in the building, which during a heatwave and with a very hard bed, made sleep almost impossible. Only a small fan was provided to relieve the situation, and the window hardly opened. Although having decent facilities, the room fell down on providing the basic requirements for a decent night's sleep.

Dear Stellaman, Thnaks for taking the time to post a review of your recent stay. Unfortunately we do not have, and caonnot currentoy recruit enough staff to provide table service,m which is why we operate a served buffet, with screenms in place. The hotel was very hot last week, this is because we were in the middle of extreamly hot weather conditions in Wales and the South west. Best regards Ian H Jones

Booked 3 nights stay because of the swimming pool. We were told on arrival it was closed! The hotel website falthy advertises the swimming pool but the SPA and swimming pool is closed. They do not clean the rooms. No AC in the rooms. The breakfast was good but even if you prepaid your breakfast you must book a table. On the last night we tried to book a table for breakfast next morning but they told us there was not availability. We were shocked! Eventually after arguing at the reception at 10pm we got our breakfast booking at 11am next morning. The breakfast was good.

Hotel was advertised as Open to Leisure Guests... showing it had a pool. On arrival we were told the leisure area was closed due to Covid restrictions and that the website “should have been changed” Did not eat in the restaurant due to being unable to order food. First night we were told that they weren’t taking orders for an hour due to a “party of 24” bring booked in. At the time, there was no one else in the restaurant. Second night we went at 6.30 to be told they could not take orders until 7.30. Rooms were really hot. Windows only opened a tiny amount and there was no AC. I appreciate it was a hot weekend but I expect 4* hotels to have AC. All in All it was more of a 2-3* experience.

Dear Mcrowbo, Thank you for your feedback. Our leisure facilities are not safe to open at the moment due to the very limited sze, and we have made all third party booking sites and our own aware of this. Unfortunatly they have limited messaging that they can oput on the front page, but we have found that most people, who are aware that there is a global pandemic at the moment, and that Wales have diofferent restrictions and guidance than England have rung ahead to se if the facilities are open,or if there is a need to book. Our restauramnt booking ssytem is contrained by social distancing rules in Wales, not our choice but the klaw curently. Our rooms have been very hot the l;ast week or so due to exteeme weather conditons, and it hads been very tough for the team, cleaning them everty day. Best regards Ian H Jones

I was a little disappointed with the lack of Welshness about the place. I counted only 28 portraits of famous and infamous Welsh people on my corridor. Could try a little harder to remind people where they are. There was also no portrait of Ryan Giggs which I felt was an oversight.

Dear Paul D, Thank you for your kind comments, its a relief to get a nice one to be honest as we are dealing with government restrictions that make it hard to operate, a heatwave, and guests who just dont undertand how tough it is tio operate with numerous staff shortages, and compex rules. Best regards Ian
