Came with a few friends unbeknown to how different the premises looks compared to many pictures posted in prior reviews. To our surprise booking this hotel was a serious mistake. I can’t quite comprehend how anyone could rate this hotel more than 2 stars. The room smelt horrible when we walked in. I would compare it to a mix of damp socks and p*ss. The iron had live copper showing which is a serious risk to anyone using it. We also found a woman’s hair clip stuck on the bed frame and a lovely opened contact lens packet underneath the ‘CLEAN’ towels. Speaking of the towels, one had a red/brown stain on it which is definitely what you want to see in the midst of a pandemic. I do also wonder if gruffalo stayed in the room before us as there was more strands of hair around the gaff than in a f*cking wig shop. In conclusion, stay as far away as possible x

I’ve stayed at the Alexander on several occasions. The location is fantastic with beaches within walking distance and pubs restaurants close by. The staff I’ve dealt with can’t do enough to accommodate me. Prices are incomparable to nationwide hotel chains in the area. The rooms are clean and maintained daily . Ideal for people working away or wanting decent stay for decent prices.

Excellent accommodation and facilities and a nice welcome and from owners. Brilliant location for local amenities and access to the beach and Gower. Clean and quiet despite location near local pubs and shops. Good additional facilities available for preparing simple food items (shared fridge, microwave, plates and cutlery). Highly recommended.

The stay at the Alexander was very pleasant. The room was much nicer than I expected. Very spacious and equipped with everything you need. Cleaning was perfect. The owner was super helpful in fulfilling any of my requests, such as extending my stay for another night. The hotel is located at a moderate distance from the beach and the train station (about 15/20 minutes) where you can easily reach the capital Cardiff or the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast. I would recommend this place as a starting point to visit Welsh beauties !!
