I stayed four nights here last week with a friend. DO NOT STAY HERE WHILE COVID IS AROUND. When we arrived, we were told that we had been upgraded to the main hotel. The room and bathroom were good but had the bare minimum of fittings with dust on the windowsill all week. There was no hotel information at all and we were told that it would be on a particular channel "because of Covid". There was no such information - the channel was dead all week. We were told that there was no food except Continental breakfast at £10 per head"because of Covid" - this was news to us as was the fact that housekeeping would not be done unless requested. They made the beds once for us.They did not have a map of Swansea or give us any information about the area. DEFINITELY NOT VALUE FOR THE ALMOST £600 which they asked for on arrival - yes "because of Covid".

OK so lets start with the restaurant, there wasn't one, we were told that this was the case a few days before (with no explanation as to why) the trip but there was also no attempt or effort to offer any advice on alternative arrangements, we were pretty much left to our onw devices and, not knowing the area at all, failed, dismally. The air con was pretty inefficient, and we had to open the windows... and then prop them open with a water bottle as they wouldn't stay open. The shower was cold. And when we came back to the hotel after a day out (we stayed for 2 nights) there had been no housekeeping so the room had not been made up, coffee and teas not replenished. This in a 4 star hotel costing nearly £300 for a 2 night stay is pretty poor, we were visiting for a double celebration and so it was a very special occasion and we would have gotten better service in a travel lodge

I knew nothing of this hotel until a handful of friends explained that this was a 5* and I thought I had found a bargain at £270 for 2 nights. The building is in a great spot, within walking distance to the beach, a stones throw from restaurants and bars and not far from the town for shopping. We arrived and were checked straight into the Townhouse, a loft room. We settled into the room and noticed that the flooring was breaking away from itself which we put down to being movement from being in a loft room. The skirting boards next to the cupboard were black with dust, there was grout missing in the tiles in the shower, only 1 dressing gown for the room and the blackout blind for the velux window above the bed didn't close. The staff knew about the blind as reception told me that they were 'waiting for a piece' for the blind. The door security kept breaking and wouldn't open with your room cards so had to be propped open through the day and left ajar in the evening which wasn't the best seeing as there were a lot of drinkers around. The bar was open to residents only and the price for the drinks were very reasonable and the staff in the bar were exceptional. The main building is beautifully decorated. I would love to stay again, maybe when the world is getting more 'back to normal' to be able to see the hotel in its working state.

Stayed here for the second time. Wasn't disappointed with the rooms. Slightly dusty in parts but that just me being pedantic. Great bar, although the furniture is not in keeping with the grandeur . Hope to be able to visit again soon.

Stayed there one night, wouldn't go back. The person in charge of the hotel was unprofessional, incompetent and should not be working there. Otherwise the room was nice and restaurant was good. Perhaps I just got him on a bad day but did not show Morgans in a good light.
